Voices are good. Voices make a game come alive. Voices bring you to the heart of the story.

I could not imagine actually playing a story without voices. I think that would remove the soul of it.

Also it feels more like you want Zelda to stay Zelda. You don't want it to "stand out" by being "unique". Also that you may be afraid of change.

Well when it comes to something I love, of course I'm afraid of change! Who wouldn't be?

Like I said though, if people want it, it should be optional. There's the key word: OPTIONAL. YOU get to choose what YOU want. I want no VA whatsoever.

I gotta agree with Bandorr, good voice work bring the characters to life, gives them more personality in many cases. It may suit the series/game well or it may not, i think it's cool to shake things up a bit, as they did this time with a big focus on open world. If fans are extremely against or it hurts the experience, they can alwasy go back to no VA. I think it well help this game for the better.

Optional stuff is nice but if this is the vision that the developers saw and wanted to bring to life, enhanced by VO, we gotta respect that. It would be a rather easy option to add though.

I hope at a minimum, it is dual audio

Same, while I don't love anime when I watch it the Jap VA really gives more feelings to the characters, like when zelda cry in the trailer T_T.

I had hoped that they would speak Hylian and not Japanese or English, and to my dread it seems like we're getting American English? In a fantasy game? No thanks! But I don't mind all that much really, from the little I've seen from the VA

Zelda had a dunny sounding American accent then.

Perfectly fine with English voice acting and have been requesting it for the since after Wind Walker when it became clear how cinematic the franchise would be in future 3D games. There is no reason not to do so when the technology is there and used by various other games.

I like my LoZ like it was when I was growing up. I don't need extra bells and whistles, just give me my gadgets, my dungeons, my characters.

I understand some want voice acting but Nintendo should make it optional.

Best to have dual audio and the option for Japanese VA

Don't really like the English voice acting :/

I agree with OP, I would like it to be optional, and then I would turn it off. Without VA you had to use this thing called imagination, just like when reading a book. That way I felt much, much closer to the characters.
