I didn't know what the Wii U was. I didn't know it existed until I tuned in to the Xbox One reveal and a comment section said 'What about Wii U?'

So, they are doing a much better work in switch marketing than with wii U. Seems thats working.

I think Pokemon GO! lead to more people paying attention to what Nintendo is doing.

And thinking about it I did see a Wii U commercial in the holiday of their launch but I thought it was another Wii add on and quickly forgot about it. If they named Wii U anything other than Wii U I think it would have had better success. Even naming it Wii 2 would have led to better sales.

If Nintendo releases a handheld only pack for 199$ they will win big times. 299$ is bit too much right now.

Regarding long term sales, Switch is going to sell and it's going to sell very well. It won't sell as well as the Wii because that consoles appealed to absolutely every type of casual gamer. The Switch still appeals to the casual crowd but not on the same scale as the Wii but a lot more than the Wii U. There's a buzz about the Switch that the Wii U never had. IT WILL SELL LOADS!

klaudkil, you're software predictions are off. Way off! 

They messed up the name. They wanted to have Wii in the name because of the success of the Wii, which is fair enough. Super Wii or Wii 2 would of been a lot better.

Achieves #1 on amazon, gets immediately up-played in typical vgchartz fashion.
