Ill just go back a decade;

You said 15 years. And that's quite a generic game you got there.

Oh, so a decade old technology is something to be proud of now? Actually it's not even a decade old, because nothing on the Switch even competes with that decade old screenshot. And that game is CRYSIS and is widely considered to be the graphically most impressive game of the 00' decade

Too bad nobody considers it the most impressive game of the 00' decade. Perhaps they shouldn't have focused so much on graphics. Also how many people could play the game looking like that in 2007? Almost no one? Alrighty then. Could you also play it on the go? Nope? Man, must be old technology.

It's certainly possible it will sell less than Wii U.

Such a fate can easily be avoided however, if they slash the price, give it a proper exclusive Pokemon, and do a deal with Capcom for Monster Hunter 5 exclusivity. That alone would practically guarantee sales over 50 million in my opinion.

The question is, does Nintendo have the guts and smarts to do what is necessary, or will they just ride it into the ground like they did with Wii U?

It could go either way at this point.

I think the question is weather it does 30m lifetime, or 80m.

If they do the smart thing ei. cut prices by 100$ first year, and do a exclusive pokemon, and get MH5 ect for it.

I could see it doing really well.

At the same time... if they do the Wii U thing... and 2-3years from now its still 299$.... its not getting much above 30m Id guess.

Nintendo are a wild card.

Irrelevant points, we were talking about graphica fidelity. You said the Switch "looks just fine", but it looks like crap compared to a game made a decade ago.

Feel free to show these games then.

Ill just go back a decade;

Looks like a PS4 FPS game to me, so are you saying that a 2013 console's graphic perfomance was able to match a 10 years old game?

Better to match it than not even get close a decade later

Nintendo are a wild card.

If it remains $300 USD, and never gets exclusive mainline Pokemon or Monster Hunter, I'll be surprised if it outsells the Gamecube.

On the other hand, I reckon it can reach the 50-60 million range if they slash the price and get those games.

At 2.5 to over 6 hours, the battery power is a quite a bit better than the 3DS which gets around 2 hours before requiring a charge, 3-3.5 hours tops when playing VC titles.

The main issue with Switch is the lack of a really great reason to buy it. That's also why GameCube and Wii U did so poorly, neither system had a must have game or feature.

It will sell better than the WiiU because of Japan.

Haven't handheld gaming been in decline in Japan? I'm not sure that Japan can save Switch.

I think it will do well if prices are lowered.
