I think people are exaggerating just how bad the switch will perform. The single biggest thing the switch has going for it is that its actually a great handheld console that can also be used as a home console. It literally means there is no need for a 3ds or a wiiU.... so at the very least it will sell a lot better than the wiiU and at least half as good as the 3DS.
The only real issue i see with the switch is the price. If they bring its accessories down in price and can get the console itself to around $200-$230 then it will be a really really hot seller. I would even but one at that price just for the Nintendo games and it puts it in the handheld impulse buy price bracket.
I honestly cant see what about it makes it cost $300 if not just for ninty greed. No BR drive, No HDD. Using mobile phone LPDDR3 ram. only 32GB of internal flash storage. a 720pc LCD screen.. A dock that does nothing me than serve as a cradle and passthrough.... like they could just as easily made a USB type C to HDMI cable to connect it to the TV.
So why is it so expensive?
