I'm hoping Nintendo can justify all my cons, but with the information we have right now, I'm gonna stick with my opinions. If Nintendo really makes a great case for all the cons, I'll be happy to change my mind.

Again it's too early to say. Nintendo haven't even revealed their online plans yet and I think we're going to see all of that at E3. I'm actually not worried about it at all and I think that there's going to be some changed minds when things are revealed. Nintendo should have kept their mouths shut and waited until they fully revealed the service with all it's features. This is like when Iwata announced the "NX" and everyone started assuming shit before a single detail was announced. Feel free to stick with your opinion but there is no substantial information to go on, no real facts. Just speculation over a few tidbits and some rumors and speculation which could end up looking pretty good. I'm just really confused because I had a feeling we would be paying for online this time around. I even stated this a fair few days prior to the event, but I thought online gameplay would be free.... I'm wondering if Nintendo is going to have two different tiers for their online service. A Cheap one that covers the basic functions and is likely priced cheaper than the competition and then a more expensive premium service that could be something like $80-100 a year. Maybe more depending on overhead costs and how much the serves cost to run. If it works as speculated it won't be for everyone but it will have a crowd and a market that it'll attract. Regardless give it time. If things don't work out by E3 and you still don't like it, then by all means. Complain.

First impressions matter, just ask XB1. MS did a piss poor job of revealing the XB1, got a huge back lash that they  haven't been able to shake off, even though they've made great efforts to address the publics concerns. They're still a distant second in the console race; they probably always would have ended up in second place this time around, but not bysuch a huge margin. Nintendo have left a lot unsaid, leaving US, the public, to fill in the gaps, and that'äs not a good thing, that leads to speculation, which leads opinions being form, which will cement a certain view of the Switch that will be hard to shake off down the road.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

But if sonic wasn't coming the would be a Con, so why can't the fact it is coming be a pro

The issue is that you can go with "third party games" which would include ALL games like that.  Individually singling out that game makes it seem as though it is special. Like Xenoblade 2.

Under that argument you'd have to include all games coming to it under "pro", and all games not coming under "con".

Yeah but these are HIS pro and cons. So for him sonic is a pro. For me GTA6 would be a Pro if it came to switch or a Con if it doesn't ( because if it did come to switch then I wouldnt need to buy multiple consoles)

Playstation 4 Pros and Cons

Pros:

250$ including game
500 GB HDD
Shareplay
Playstation VR
Uncharted 4
God of War 4
The Last Guardian
Final Fantasy 15
Kingdom Hearts 3
Witcher 3
Gran Turismo Sport
GTA 5
The Last of Us
The Last of Us pt.2
Batman Arkham Knight
Metal Gear Solid 5
Bloodborne
Dark Souls 3
Ace Combat 7
Days Gone
Horizon Zero Dawn
Spiderman PS4
Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Cons:

Paid Online
Not Portable
60$ / Controller

NUser was warned ~ CGI

My opinion is still pretty negative about the switch....

Nintendo can still save it though, drop price 100$ and make online free.
and suddenly I go from a potentially no buy, to a buyer.

That has nothing to do with this thread.  Also the controllers are $50 at most. At least on Amazon.

Well its a con if nintendo is that far behind the competition in literally anything. I think it helps alot to have some comparison.

I can understand your concerned. However the Switch is nearly sold out everywhere with it's pre-orders. I don't think Nintendo left a bad impression for the masses! Nintendo fans on the internet are bitching while everyone else line up and drop the stack of cash en masses. Nintendo is obviously doing something right. Microsoft really messed up with the Xbox One in a sense that isn't even comparable.

I think you are correct that Nintendo left a lot unsaid and have you ever stopped to wonder why? Perhaps that they were showing everything that comes in the box when you buy the console on day one. Maybe later they will reveal additional features that will cost money like the online service. Ever wondered why we saw so few games when all these games are coming out this year?

Again... you're assuming things that you know literally nothing about. Or maybe the Switch won't be the platform of choice for you, but for a lot of people I will assume it will be.

Yeah doesnt even matter lol. I cant understand why people are defending nintendo if its thats obvious they are making the same mistakes they made with the wii and the wii u. Im sure software support on the switch will again be dead way before ps4/xbox one software support (like wii u software support was quicker dead then ps3/xbox 360).

Also the first year is extremly lacklusting, but it has Zelda (sheduled to release in 2015, first teased 2011) and Mario (4 years in development).

What do people expect then? It will be the wii u situation all over again with biig gaps between games. They arnt even able to fill its launch year with enough titles and they even didnnt gave the wii u much in the past 2 years.

Their big guns are fired in 2017 and new zelda and mario will likely take again 4-6 years to make. Maybe a 1 AAA title per year (like Smash, Mario Kart, Metroid, Pokemon) but that will be it. While Playstation and xbox gets 5-10 AAA games jsut in the holiday season and ~5-10 in the rest of the year...

Nintendos development teams are just way to small to make enough games in HD quality.  Nobody can support a console only by themselfs now a days.

Again... you're assuming things that you know literally nothing about. Or maybe the Switch won't be the platform of choice for you, but for a lot of people I will assume it will be.

The WiiU sold out in the beginning as well, but after all the super hard core Nintendo fans got their console, sales died down, and never really picked up again. So that's a faulty metric to discern how the masses recieved the Switch. I highly doubt that there will be a lot of none-Nintendo core fans getting the Switch the first week or two, after that, we'll see what the masses thinks of the Switch, if they even knows it exists. I think that half the Nintendo fans are loving the Switch, and have pre-ordered it, and the other half is bitching about it, but half of those still have pre-ordered it as well.

Who knows why Nintendo is doing what they're doing? I'm not even sure Nintendo nows half the time. They've shown time and time again that they're not interested in delivering services that most people take for granted these days.

I'm making assumtions because Nintendo refused to address them, so it's only natural that we try to fill in the blanks. The ironic thing is, that you made an assumption in that last sentence. I'm probably going to buy the Switch one day, but as it is right now, there's still a lot of unknown factors left.
