People keep listing that Uncharted PS4 bundle for 299. Surely there has to be a better game to bundle with PS4 than that.

I'm hoping that's what's going on because I want a Switch but not at $300. |
If they do a $100 price cut in a few months like they did with the 3DS, it will be a really crappy move for their most loyal early buyers fans. Even if those fans will most likely defend this move themselves, happy to pay 100$ more to show their support...
Yeah, it's possibly what will happen.
I thought that they were as well simply because Nintendo aren't the best people of discussing the technology inside the device.
It wasn't until after the reveal and someone on NeoGaf broke down the HD rumble technology! The fact the Joy-cons each have their own batteries, the comments of the screen being of very high quality and brightness and also including Touchsense haptic feedback for the touch screen like the new iPhones have. It's essentially $100 more than the new Shield TV but has way more technology packed into it...

Are these rechargeable or require AA or AAA batteries. I use AA/AAA recharageable batteries but it would be nice if those things just charge when connected to the unit when docked or something.

Lithium rechargeable batteries that supposedly gets 20hrs of play per charge
I think Nintendo may just be trying to make some early profit on the hardware, until they build up a user base and game library. Wii U is at end of life; 3DS slowed down a lot; Ammiibo earns peanuts. They need some significant source of income, and tacking $10~$20 on hardware units is one of the most direct ways to do that.

price drops? From Nintendo? hahaha |
I admit I don't keep track of prices but going through Amazon, I'm seeing some price cuts and I recall the 3ds getting a price cut early on. I'm holding out for a good bundle.

I'm hoping for something good. Just gotta hold out which won't be hard: gaming isn't my primary hobby.
So Nintendo is marketing this a home console first but I think with them doing that people immediately compare it to PS4 and XbOne.
This will be the most advanced dedicated portable gaming device created so far, is what it is!
It's more of a gaming tablet that has a docking station for your TV

I am sure that the Joy-cons have their own batteries. Also pretty sure that they get charged when docked, and absolutely sure that the bridge part you can slip the Joy-cons on charges them when the bridge part is connected to a power source via USB cable. |
I think you need to buy the 30$ grip for that, the one that comes with the system doesn't seem to have USB slot.

The controller prices are insane, and I'm gonna get in some good playtime out of Splatoon 2 before they start charging money. That 1 classic title/month rent is ridiculous, they should be giving out those 30 year old games for free.
