Generally 2 or 3, one being a game I can play A LOT (for ps4 that one was FIFA)

True, so why is there all this bitching about the launch line up in the first place? Doesn't make sense at all, don't you think?

So far the Wii U was the only console I bought near launch. And I only bought 2 games!

Never bought a console at launch, was going to make the Switch my first but...... well, then 2 days ago happened.

Can't really remember! Think with ps4 I just got destiny, then a few weeks later Last of us Remasterd. With Xbox 360 I just got Condemned ( amazing) and Perfect Dark Zero ( not so good).

For Switch I will definately buy Breath of the Wild followed by Mario Kart 8 in April. When's Skyrim out too will pick that up aswell

The problem is the variety. A console needs to have the variety available to select from because not everyone wants the same games. Sparse lineups have killed consoles before, like the Saturn and Gamegear. N64 almost died too because everyone bought a PlayStation two months later for the 200 games they were bragging.

1-2 games.

Back when the WII U released I went with Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros U and Zombi U. Those were the only interesting games at launch.

For the Switch... Zelda BOTW and... uhm.... well... Bomberman R? Maybe? Probably I am Setsuna next.

About 3 is a good number especially if they are all very different.

I've never bought a system at launch, mostly because there were never  enough good games for me.
