Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Switch going to unleash THUNDER at e3

I was wondering why Nintendo Switch Presentation showed a handful or two of games when we know they have the capacity to demonstrate much MUCH more. I mean, forget for a second that we know they consolidated two separate divisions and now pull all internal resources onto a single device;

they still had the option to make lofty promises that would take the whole generation to deliver on.

There are many other games in development for the system, not just internally but with partners too. There's also tons of concepts that have been approved, that are not in full development stage, but can be shown off. Are they saving the thunder for an E3 showing?

Probably.
Might be a whimper too.
This conference was way worse than it had any right being.

They do have a humble and modest approach that I want them to let go of this summer.

I really don't know. It's clear there's plenty of games that are currently unannounced including some we're already aware of (Mario/Rabbids crossover), but it just seems like they'd want to generate a little more hype prior to launch.

I think regardless of its lasting power it will initially sell quite well and they've spaced their major releases (Splatoon 2/Mario Kart/Mario Odyssey/Xenoblade 2) across the year likely to try and keep it in the news. Who knows if that'll be enough, though?

Overloading announcements should do well for their image.

I wanna believe that they have a lot of games in the works, but you know, maybe they actually don't. Despite Wii support being cut early, it didn't amount to much for Wii U (though they also had 3DS to support). Perhaps it'll be the same thing again...

That's what we thought every year with the Wii U lol

Pokemon, Pikmin 4, Retro game, Beyond Good & Evil 2 would do it for me

This time it will happen, believe me. *Trump gesture*

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

edit: oh and I hope E3 is just a bunch of people staring into each other and shaking cups of ice.

And then Team Rocket comes along to cause trouble, once again... 😏
