Stardew Valley, which already sold more than 2 million copies on PC (indie hit of 2016), is confirmed for Switch.

"...Stardew Valley will not be coming to the Wii U, however. Looking at Wii U and the current gaming landscape, we made the difficult choice to shift our development efforts to creating a version for Nintendo Switch. I am really looking forward to the Switch, and I believe that the Switch’s unique capabilities could create some exciting opportunities for Stardew Valley. I do want to emphasize that I am absolutely committed to seeing Stardew Valley on Nintendo platforms, and I really do appreciate your support and understanding in this."

It's a perfect game for a console/handheld hybrid imo.

Stardew Vally is missing, that's gonna be good game that's suited for the portability of handheld of the Switch cause you can just casually play it anywhere around your house

Added it.

Nice list OP! It's good to see a list like that really shows what there is more than just a wall of text.

Thanks! It got a bit messed up when I copied it to here though. In Word, all images were the same size.

Dungeon of Zaar, an indie tactical RPG currently in development for PC/Mac/Linux and Switch (crossplay confirmed):

constructor HD?
Didn't see that coming.

Wow, that's a lot of games actually and most of them are coming this year! And more is still to be announced.

Curios if DQ11 will be the 3ds or ps4 version or a complete seperate one

Given it is getting DQ Heroes 1 and 2, I think it is pretty certain it will be the PS4 version.  Especially since DQXI is being built on UE4, which is quite flexible on its own.

Since Dragon Quest Heros 1&2 coming to the Switch is the PS4 version then most likely it will be the Ps4 version of Dragon Quest 11 .

So 56 titles so far? Many of wich are Indies and ports (or Indieports :P), but nonetheless that's not too bad.

Edit: Especially since I like Indies. I'm excited for Yooka-Laylee and Stardew Valley. I'll have to see if I buy BoI AGAIN though...here's hoping for an account system.

This very impressive for their first games announcement of the year, I'm definitely going to go and pre-order a Nintendo Switch now, there are more games here that I want to get than I bought on Wii U in its entire lifetime!

I made this thread when the Switch was first announced. I wanted to keep the list up to date, but I forgot about it (because no games were announced in the months following the announcement). Yesterday I suddenly remembered I made this, so I decided to give it a big update. I'll try to update it more regulary from now on.

Update:

  • Updated list of games
  • Because there are too many games, only the important ones keep their images
  • Made a distinction between already released and to be released games
