No dammit.I disagree with you in the sense that they should reveal all of their cards, or most of them. The NEED to hold off big games, like Animal Crossing or Metroid for example for other events like E3.But they could have used a bit more games for the reveal, like the game intelligent systems is developing.

The point Im trying to make is that Nintendo needs to keep the momentum going, and if the burn themselves by making a big splasch now but having nothing to show for the next year, it will be bad for them.

But I never said all, and most still means they have stuff left. Sooner is more important than later, because the Switch's support from both Nintendo and third partys depends on it's initial sales performance, so it is smarter to reveal stuff asap. Don't want another Wii U situation where it was too late to be saved and third partys n Nintendo quickly gave up on it.

The bold is you agreeing with me again. :L

I think we are misunderstanding each other. The part we are disagreeing with is the ammount they should have announced.I am thinking they should have announced a bit more, and you say they should have announced much more.I personally think they have hit a good balance, assuming they have a bit more third party titles to fill the blanks, like sonic mania, sonic 2017, Dragon Quest X and XI, and so on.(This is shaping up to be one hell of an RPG machine, but I digress)

All in all, I think we can agree that at the very least Nintendo left us interested to see more about the system.

"Nintendo, unlike Sony and especially Microsoft, don't tend to show off games that are 1-2 years away or ones that excite fans and then never come out."

They literally brought a guy out who said, "yeah, I was talking with some indie guys the other day, so now I'm thinking about making a game for the Switch." They revealed SMT and said it was in "early development".

And, of course, they've been milking the Zelda excitement since the Wii U reveal.

No More Heroes 3 and SMT aren't Nintendo's IPs.

And the NMH part was poorly translated, who knows what he actually said.

I didn't say they were.  The fact remains, however, that Nintendo brought them out to show off that the system had games and to excite fans.

There's a list of 51 games currently announced, as far as I know, which includes announcements like Shovel Knight and Yooka Laylee that weren't touched on by Nintendo. Which leaves 30 something games unannounced. I expect around half of those are definitely first party projects, and perhaps as many as 20 could be, given Nintendo often publish 20-30 games across portable and home systems each year. Given we only have 8 Nintendo titles published so far, there's a fair chance we'll see more 2017 announcements from Nintendo through Directs and E3.

I may be mistaken, but that 80+ games they mentioned is for third party games, not including their own first party games.Could be mistaken though

Big things you could probably still expect:
-Smash port
-Retro Studios title
-Mother 3 + other VC
-Next Level games title
-Monster Hunter
-Many other WiiU/3DS ports
-Metroid

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

There were a couple of threads showing the list, but it got buried somewhere

I'm thinking about 6-8 unannounced Nintendo games, really not sure about other developers :p

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

I think this event became a dissapointment because some games are being held back for e3, namelu Pokemon, animal crossing, pikmin

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I'm not disagreeing on the amount. Two games can be fine if they're the caliber of Pokemon n Animal Crossing. What I'm saying is it's a bad idea for Nintendo to continue to twiddle their thumbs when they needed more now, not later when it's too late.
