I don't mind the one NES or Snes game a month but the way I read it was that you only get it for the month. No way........right? I really wanna believe that it's just available to download for the month but I get to keep it until my subscription runs out, like PlayStation Plus.

 

The voice chat thing needs to be cleared up as well. These are questions that Reggie must answer, this kind of stuff is pretty important to the US and EU customer base and I would assume JP users as well. 

 

I also think the reason it's free for a while is because they won't have really anything that takes advantage of online multiplayer at launch. Maybe ARMS but I'm pretty sure they said online play is coming at a later date

God forbid acknowledging when Nintendo have a truly terrible idea.

This is ridiculous and can't possibly be defended, especially paired with all the other blunders they've already made with this thing. It's like they don't want to stay on the console market at all.

downloading an app to my smartphone that allows me to use my smartphone to talk to people just sounds too silly to be true. i just refuse to believe nintendo is that stupid so i'll choose to believe this is a "lost in translation" issue.

I think they mean the online is free for 1st 8 months until it's up and running correct maybe? Then when all features are in place it becomes a subscribtion

Nintendo should clarify this soon I hope. You can't half-ass it with the multiplayer features if you're going to charge. Voice chat is as base as they come.

Well yeah, that doesn't sound ok if this is a fee on top of the other subscription you need to play games online on Switch.
Or is this app included in the other online subscription fee?

They better not make us pay for two subscriptions just to play online and voice chat with the other players.

No I think the Voice chat and freinds achievements etc is a 'App' you download onto the switch if you want it, then the online service is just one $60 doller per year charge which includes achievements,  Voice chat and competitive online play and free games, ( so far just 1 or 2 nes/snes games per month
