Sigh... if it was reasonably priced ($200 imo, $250 tops), I would say without a doubt it would be a huge success. But $80 for a controller? $90 for a fucking charging station with some ports?

I truly believe in the Switch. I really do. The console + handheld lineup has gigantic potential. But Nintendo is making it really hard to reach said potential.

$10 for a grip. $15 for a grip that charges. plus i remeber Wii Wheels costing $10

If you want a second dock and second controller, you may as well buy a second Switch.

Dang, those are some high prices even by Nintendo standards. If I had to price them by considering decent profits, relative affordability, and similar pricing for controllers & accessories I'd price them at...

What a disaster. The more news that comes out about the Switch, the worse it gets.

This is much worse Xbox One's disaster at the beginning, but at least Microsoft was able to adapt and change. Nintendo's never shown that they can adapt.

I just might... Play one, charge one. Might sell off the second joy con set and grip for 80/90 dollars and keep the console and dock... Really curious what the charging speed will be while playing or in other words: what's the USB type c port rated at and what does the console use and does that leave anything for portable charging? Have some bad experiences with prolonged use of tablets heavy on power use and low rated ports causing the battery to slowly deplete, which had all kinds of funky effects on the battery and battery capacity. (It would get too warm because of this type of use, severely impacting the battery capacity degradation...)

Now only if they would bring a bundle of switch, pro controller and Zelda without any flashy stickers for 400...
