Forums - Sales Discussion - American Numbers are in: The PS3 Still leading the Wii...

The most impressive thing is that one is $249.99 and the other is 400 dollars, I find that strange that the expensive one can sell on par with the cheap system. I can only imagine when the PS3 is $299.99, will the wii outsell it then?

It's nice but the fact that GT5:P caused even a 100k increase in PS3 sales is still just a little bump when the PS3 is already 11-12 million behind.

You're missing his point. People laugh when you even hint at PS3 sales rising because of a game launch. You're proving his point by still trying to make it seem like a negative. He's not saying it's going to outsell the Wii, he is saying that it is impressive that the PS3 is that CLOSE to it's sales.

 Thankyou!

The Wii might only beat the PS3 by as little as 6k worldwide this week.

The PS3 is currently 56k ahead of the 360 this week. With Japanese numbers it could end up with a massive 70k difference.

When the PS3 reaches that price, the Wii will probably sell for anywhere from $149.99 to $199.99. The Ps3 won't be the only thing getting a price drop.

PS3 surprised me with it's sales, in both regions, I wonder how Japan will look like

PS3 has pulled off the shock of the week. GT5P has done wonders for Sony.

You haven't taken into account that Nintendo has purpose reduced shipments for the end of March because it has already hit projected targets it told investors. Lets see how Wii sales and PS3 sales compare in April once a new fiscal quarter has started.

I have a feeling soon well hear of another Wii production increase. Nintendo would be stupid not to increase it by at least 0.2 mil a month.
