This looks like the Ivalice Alliance guy decided to rip of Dragon's Crown (which is itself a ripoff of Arcade D&D)

But since George Kamitani worked on D&D, too, DC wasn't really a ripoff so much as it was him revisiting his previous work.

A 2D world with 3D effects and Turnbased combat.... Count me the F**k in.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Nintendo and SE didn't make some sort of agreement with this game? Like something along the lines of "make an exclusive game for the switch"?

It's quite likley they did, but at least as far as i can tell his comment is directed at whether such a deal makes sense for a 3rd party (his position being that it's not). This is hardly a Nintendo specific position; we've likewise had comments and threads making the case that it makes no sense for FF7R to not release on the Switch. Those likewise aren't aimed at Sony being 'sooo selfish', but if it makes sense for SE. In general people have been a lot more critical of 3rd party deals this generation.

I think FFVII remake not releasing on Switch is a matter of hardware constraint. I doubt we will see games being developed for PS4/ Xbox One ported for the Switch.

Loving that art style! Haven't played too many of these old school rpgs so here's hoping it'll be great!

Looks like it could be good, but I'd need more details on it before I'd consider buying it. Hopefully this turns out to be a cool JRPG for the system.

Hope it also comes to ps4.noo reason for third party exclusives and leaving out the biggest platform.

Hopefully it goes both ways for both systems. No need to keep some games exclusive to one console.

Classic squenix artstyle < 3 color palette needs more vibrant colors tho

I always thought this kind of art style would have been perfect for a FF6 remaster. I still think they should do it since I doubt we'd see anything like the FF7 one happening. Please do this SE!

No love for FF5!?

FF4 is the king. But FF6 is the height of pixel art style and would look awesome if it got the octopath treatment.
