I am not too keen on a paid online service, unless of course it follows a similar model to PS+ where I get games with it, then that might not be too bad.

As for games, Mario, Splatoon 2, and Zelda are the only ones that I saw that I truly cared about.

Price point seems okay for the system, not much to complain about there. I'll get it on launch, because I haven't really disliked or regretted any Nintendo console purchase before.

The problem with Nintendo giving us games is that their consoles get fewer games released than Sony/MS give us for the paid online. Unless ofcourse you're happy with paying the same money and getting NES/SNES/GB classics...

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

The fact that the guy from EA failed to announce upcoming unprecedented supporte was such a missed opportunity, though.

I would be surprised if there was any support at all.

There will be a FIFA. Not FIFA 17 or 18. A FIFA. Wonder how it'll turn out...

Why not make it 400$ then? I'm building at PC that will cost me more than 2000$ when it's done so why shouldn't the switch cost 400$? That's the launch price of the ps4 after all. Or why not make it 500$? As much as the xboxone at launch. People bought those console. Surely they'll have no problems buying the switch at those prices as well.

You see what I'm getting at?

Why not make it 500 indeed. That way they could've put in actual hardware with actual clocks.

Nintendo is not Sony or Microsoft. They don't have a close competitor and their product is unique on the market. They might as well sell it for 500.

You think that when someone wants to buy a console to play games he'll go "Well I could only buy a switch since there's no other choice"? We'll have to agree to disagree on this.

I don't know what you were expecting. This was never gonna work. You want the power? Less than an X1. Slightly more than a Wii U.

Why do they expect this to perform better or any different than the Wii U? Your guess is as good as mine.

Does it really matter? Usually the versions of those games NOT on PS or Xbox home consoles sell meh

Wrong way around.

I believe when you go into the store that you already know if you want a Nintendo console or a 3rd party console. There is a choice between 3rd party consoles but there is only one Nintendo console. nintendo fans will buy that one and not be swayed by the competitive pricing of Xbox or Playstation since that is not what they want.

The worst thing that will happen is that not all Nintendo fans will buy at launch but wait for a price drop. They will buy eventually though and that it what counts.

If I go into a store wanting to buy a television I will not pick a washing machine because it's cheaper.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

The 3DS is garbage compared to the Switch and it sold over 60m with that launch price. Are you saying it would've sold significantly more if it was 50 bucks cheaper at launch?

Launch price doesn't matter unless you have a close competitor releasing at the same time, which Nintendo has not.

It doesn't matter whether Nintendo has competition or monopoly since they too are likely subject to price elasticity ...

I thought the Switch was going to be amazing, but now they have almost no games releasing, so I might never get one. It sucks as a Nintendo fan.

Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !
