I'm not praising anybody, I'm saying this is cool, I like the moment not the person. I'm not even a republican. I'm tired of CNN, if this was other person or obama saying the same thing I would think the same.

Yes you are. If Obama punched a Fox news reporter and I made a thread saying "that was cool", because FOX news is trash, I would absolutely be praising him for his action and encouraging him to do it again.

Trump is setting a terrible precident. I now see even more clearly what Meryl Streep was talking about when she said that journalists need to be protected.

then I'm a monster.

Just when some of my faith in humanity is about to be restored I see people praising someone for doing something despicable. The comparison with Erdogan is spot on.

Why am I even surprised at this point...

On the upside, the poll and the majority of the posts seem to get that this is actually very bad.

Yup. It's something.

Oh yeah, now he hates leaks?

I would have though he was more thankful to leaks, after all this is a bunch of "leaks" that made the difference for him... how ironic?

But honestly, this is not really an issue with the character, the problem is with his policies, who cares if he is the nicest - or the meanest - person in the world? Your rights as a person are likely to erode, your money stolen (more?) the country is about to be run like a banana republic, with all the power of the usa used to enrich Trump corporation and Exxon! and if you though minorities had it bad before.. oh well, they will be second class citizens, officially now! so what can you do? be happy because he refused a question from a CNN reporter?

Is it cool tho?

yeah I like it, I hate CNN and the entire organization of frabricated news just to deal with an agenda, any agenda. Well, that's any news organization, but there's something about CNN and Anderson Cooper that I despise a lot, not going into details. I see it as a cool moment, like a jab.

Of all the casters at CNN, you got a problem with silverback? Come on now, at least take some shots at that dimwit Don Lemon. All news organizations are biased in one way or another, but CNN (as far as I'm aware) was more or less fact checking some of the things detailed in the 35 page report thingy.

I mean, I would probably would have a blast if Fox News was the one shutdown like that but it's still childish on Trump's part. Even if you like the "moment", the precedent it may set is scary.

EDIT: Even Fox-Goddamn-News (Shepard Smith to be more specific) is defending CNN, that is fairly impressive on his part.

It's cool because he didn't take shit when shit was thrown. It's simple as that.

Trump didn't punch anyone. You're setting a terrible precident with an inaccurate example. And if journalists cannot take care of themselves, then they don't deserve to be taken seriously.

Cool, the likes of CNN and other MSM outlets need to have their journalists under more fire and scrutiny ...

Yeah, that's why I never said he did. The example was fine. It demostrates how saying that something is "cool", is a form of praise. Nothing more, nothing less.

As for the bolded, that's a pretty fucked up thing to say.

Wrong. The example you gave painted a harsher picture than what happened with Trump in an attempt to associate the aesthetics with Trump. Don't think you're fooling anyone. And about what I said, you take care of yourself by being blameless. CNN was not blameless. Therefore they got what they deserved.

Trump is a liar or misinformed, the dossier in question was mentioned in the intelligence briefing report. This has been backed up by multiple sources now including by the Vice President.

CNN was correct and they ran a legitimate story, and freezing out media outlets because you can't handle a question is not how a president should conduct business.
