As someone who has been in gaming since the early 1980s, Xbox has basically lost me entirely. OG Xbox was great (aside from a couple of minor quibbles, like having to buy optional DVD playback support). OG Xbox had a wealth of middle-budget exclusives that were so numerous, I think just about anybody would enjoy at least a few of them. According to this list, there were SEVENTY Xbox exclusives from 01-05 for OG Xbox :

Personally, I found stuff like Phantom Dust, MechAssault, PGR, etc, to be quite good. Combined with usually great 3rd party ports, the system was a great (if bulky) companion to PS2 and GC, all offering great things in a great gen. VERY affordable systems, diverse libraries, tons of excellent titles. If you've never had an OG Xbox, I still recommend picking one up, the system and games are absolutely dirt cheap to buy, and still very enjoyable to this day.

360, Wii, and PS3 really disappointed me at first, for wildly different reasons. 360 launched without HDMI support, and was all kinds of flaky until the slims to be honest. 1st party releases weren't very compelling, and the systems were pretty expensive. 360 in 2005-2006 wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire imho. Then PS3 and $599 happened, and another slow-out-of-the-gate system in terms of library came, with even more expense. Wii had some great 1st party, but had potato graphics and 480p resolution. GC w/motion controls, which became heavily used and a tiring gimmick to many. The gen really didn't come to life until 2009ish for me, then things started to turn bad not long after for Wii and 360 especially, Wii output slowing to a trickle, and 360 going on a kinect bender and completing the de-evolution into the Halo/Gears/Forza box.

This latest batch of things like Gearhead being shuttered, Scalebound cancelled, games delayed/not getting firm dates, just makes it feel like Xbox is becoming an afterthought to MS leadership. Hell, in E3 2016 we were told about a system releasing well over a year out, but without a compelling story of why it should exist or why we should care. Then again, I'm not a fan of mid-gen refreshes from any company. I have zero interest in PS4P, Scorpio, or the goofy thing with the N3DS.

I might get an X1 again after the gen is over, and a stack of the total retail exclusives that I care about that aren't on PC to check out for a few days, it doesn't sound like that stack will be very high to be honest.

Had no plans on getting a Xbox One... so... didnt effect me.

Thought I was interested in Scalebound and love P games, I have to say the demos I saw did not give me that "I must play this game" feeling. Disappointed not to see the game but from the info we have received, it looked like it was not coming out anytime soon and even if it did, probably would let me down.

No cause it was coming to pc anyway

Already own one. Beyond the initial trailer, though, this game has only gotten worse. I was hyped for it (reserved hype, cause I don't fall for these bs reveal trailers anymore), but each further gameplay vid I saw month's/years later I quit even paying attention to it. It wasn't even on my bargain bin list anymore.

I bought the Xbox one at launch day, it even says so in the box and controller. And, boy, do I regret it?

Yes... I do.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I have never bought a Microsoft console and probably never will.

Not fond of their IPs honestly.

Besides even if Scalebound was amazing, it still wouldn't be enough, honestly i don't even have time to play all my PS4 and Wii U games, don't really need another console.

Yes wont buy an Xbox One or a new Graphicscard, PS4 is all i need

Already own one, might buy a 2nd now.

I thought about buying a X1 for Scalebound, but given that I already have a PS4 and pretty much everything I want is on PS4 or Nintendo, Scalebound would have to have been really good. I generally love Platinum's games when they're not doing licensed games for Activision. NieR: Automata is on my to-buy list right now.

That said, for a long time, I thought Scalebound was a Kinect game.
