I didn't expect the XB1 version to do so well.

Yeah, it did quite well. No doubt it has made back however much the XB1 port cost them and is turning a profit. Hopefully Square Enix will reconsider the PS exclusivity for KH 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 now. KH3 on XB1 could perform nearly as well as FFXV did if they release the earlier games on XB1 first, espeically if they released them in one big collection.

I talked about this one a bit. I feel like X1 is a definitely worth the investment for the bigger RPGs. It looks like the ratio between the platforms will remain the same. If it's a bigger game, it'll do enough to justify the cost. If it's a much smaller game, it might not be worth the investment.

Final Fantasy XV ~1.77 (1.57M retail + ~200K digital)

PS4  ~1.32M

XBO ~450K

LOL, and now it ended with exactly my expected 75/25.

NPD doesn't count bundles right? FFXV had a PS4 bundle. Does anyone know how much that sold?

So is Windows Central now credible?

I didn't pay much attention to the validity of their November numbers, but having December right there I would say they have certainly taken a big step in the credible direction.

I think they were correct in November as well.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Perhaps. I'd still advise waiting for official numbers until this site...

A. Tracks things beyond the holidays (and/or not just when the NPD result is apparently so close).
B. No one else offers up much to go on (often why I give VGC so much credit).

Oh for sure.  I figure they at least put us in a ballpark for the conversation at this point, when MS is either close or winning.. seemingly.

So 200K for digital on both ps4 and xbo?

TLG did great. I am really worried that it will sell below 100K.

250K for US and 130K for Japan. Pretty Immpressive and that is without DD sales and if you gonna add up worldwide it is closer than 1m or even more than 1M. Great Job gamers. Salute.

MORE CHARTS!

These are all the LTD-related charts for the PS4 & XBO.

This chart is interesting. It shows Microsoft trying so hard to close the gap.

1st holiday with the price cuts and Kinectless SKUs.

2nd holiday they didn't really have an answer.

3rd holiday Xbone S and bundles were doing their work, until Sony fought back with the UC4 bundle, had small gains with the Pro.

This is the year it has to happen for Microsoft. A full year of Xbone S, launch of the Scorpio. IF the sub $199 PS4 doesn't disrupt their plans.

If I was Sony I'd relaunch the PS4 Slim, make White the standard model, permanent cut to $249 until BF.

PS4P price is good but I knew cheaper models will do well. I think same is going to happen with Scorpio next year.

I knew those weren't confirmed numbers. I just didn't see anything "solid" concerning Nov and Dec NPD hardware numbers.
