Well that sucks. Poor guys that are losing their jobs

I wonder why this is happening though, it`s not as if they`ve been releasing loads of flops or anything.

They havnt done anything for the PS4 other than Rigs right?

It sucks though, in the PS1-PS2 days with MediEvil & Frogger where their best days.

I guess they probably dont have anything exciting on the horizon? and sony closed down shop.

Don't know much about this but remember hearing that having studios in the UK doesn't work anymore because of taxes.

Could be wrong or it may have something to do with that.

Anyway. I feel bad for everyone affected. Who knows if it was the right decision. It's still terrible for all those affected by it.

^ this. Alot of studios in the UK have gone away.

A tax break was introduced into the industry in like mid 2015 or earlier, so doubt that has anything to do with it. Maybe it was just the companies time, similar to Studio Liverpool, who had completed WipeOut HD and weren't really working on anything anymore (this was before the tax break).

Cambridge were responsible for MediEvil back in the day but the company won't be the same as it was then, so this time around, projects completed, Sony own the IPs so they can close it if they see it as currently redundent. Sad as given creative freedom and some time and money these companies probably could come up with some great games.

Hmm, pie.

Unfortunate news. Media Molecule may be next after Dreams is done.

I would have liked to see Guerrilla make another Killzone. Any more closures and it will be time to start worrying about where Sony's first party are going

Sad news even if they dont do anything anymore, they still made thé only relevant VR game

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

If it has anything to do with UK law they wouldn't have opened a new studio in 2015 to work on VR or gotten a second space for Media Molecule
