Forums - Sony Discussion - Death Stranding: It Seems That Kojima Is Fultoning Everyone From Konami To Kojima Productions

Nice I wish Kojima and everyone at KojiPRO all the best.
Can´t wait fo Death Stranding.

I'm waiting for him to get all his staff back and kickstart "Quiet Mountains", and then see Konami become red with anger.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

He took the tallent with him when he left.

Not really surprising, is a lot like Playtonic with ex-Rare members :p

Yeah this reminds me abit of that. Rare lost alot of tallent too, the main rare guys all left, when they got fed up with all the kinect games stuff.

I want to see how Kojima does when he's the top dog, and can't pass the buck on his budget busting.

Well... he did team up with the people who funded the Last Guardian. So, perhaps his budget is now a suggestion?

Seems like a hostile takedown on Konami without having to pay for it, just need to develop new IPs. But with time maybe even the IPs may be bought

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Maybe not even it. As long as it sells great the budget is just a reminder of the floor

Kojima has been trying to crawl out from under Metal Gear for 15 years now. He probably doesn't want it back.

I always enjoyed Metal Gear from NES to present, but glad he is able to make a new IP and have freedom. What ever Death Stranding ends up being, sure it will be interesting.

I'd love if he could get Tomokazu Fukushima on board as a writer. He helped write MGS1,2,3. Imo Kojima is better with him helping out. Here's the list of series writers.

MGS 1 - Kojima and Tomokazu Fukushima

MGS 2 - Kojima and Fukushima

MGS 3 - Kojima, Fukushima, and Shuyo Murata

MGS 4 - Kojima, Murata

MGS Peace walker - Kojima

Metal Gear isn't the only IP he does, and we don't know if the problem was MG or Konami that he was trying to run from. There is Castlevania and Silent Hill as well
