Sure there are those PSN/Xbox Arcade that later were re-released on disc. But this is not what i`m talking about. I`m talking about a big- budget release.

Digital surpassed physical for PC gaming a long time ago, and in some point the same will happen for consoles:

If I would bet if there are games that could see this happen are GTA VI and GT Sports.

Any thughts?

Every indie without a retail release did that ages ago. Plus those Capcom games digital only, if I can recall.

I mean big releases. For example an AAA game selling more digital than physical, not digital only games, or games that were digital only and re-released on disc. PC games are selling more digital than physical for a while now, at some point an AAA game will sell more digital than physical on console, this is not a matter of if, it`s a matter of when.

Digital is too convenient to pass up.

Anyways, not a chance GTA VI or GT Sport will do it. Too soon for GT Sport and GTA VI is too mainstream for it. Mainstream releases probably have higher physical percentages due to impulse buys and whatnot.
