Forums - Sales Discussion - PS4 PRO suffering major shortages in Asia and EU regions.

You can't buy a new Vita in UK either.

Demand massively outstripping supply.

I noticed this too and did some investigating. PS4 seems to be sold out in many places, shipments are expected in 1-2 weeks and price has gone up 10-20€ in most places. This combined with anecdotal reports all over the globe seems to point that PS4 Pro is selling really well and beating Sony's expectations.

I don't think undershipping is the same thing as beating expectations. Then again, in a twisted sense of it all it kinda is.

I don't understand. Why it's twisted? Isn't shortages a sign that a product is beating expectations? Or did Sony copy Nintendo's playbook and undership on purpose while knowing Pro would sell more?

anyways...there's definitely some smoke in the air, many people from different countries are reporting shortages on different forums, this is not some GAF only thing and many online retailers around Europe are out of stock.

I think it's possible holidays catched Sony off guard and supply should normalize in few weeks.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Not saying you are wrong. But deosnt mean you are right either.

If Sony could only start making PS4pros in late September or early October then it could mean they simply couldn't make enough of them.

If they know that they shipped 1M PS4s before but make only 300k PS4pros then the issue isn't one of exceeding expectations. It's one of Sony not shipping enough of a product to meet demand.

It sounds similar, but they are different things.

I think what people are saying is that Sony can't have expectations higher than what they ship. If they have manufacturing problems then they adjust their expectations. If they are selling what they ship then they must at least be meeting expectations.

Anecdotal evidence from NeoGAF shouldn't be a thread on VGC.

i gave evidence before Neogaf

Those things have more substance than this thread, because the tweets are at least coming from people who have a name.

But when it comes to anecdotal evidence, you can ask VGC members because they aren't inferior to the GAF community in any way.

I'm in Colombia, all my sony fans friends got theirs day one, is on stock on every store... and yes Rol is rigth anecdotal evidence on gaf to do a thread?? lol why don't ask someone from vgchartz?

Wait!?

Did Sony launched the PS4 Pro in Colombia and ignored Brazil?

https://www.niubie.com/2016/10/ps4-pro-no-llegara-pronto-a-latinoamerica-por-que/

But any way, there are many places you can find a PS4 Pro around here. And it´s not that expencive.

This is purely anecdotal as far as general supply goes, but around where i live (south west london) finding a PS4 Pro was an absolute nightmare. Wanted to get one as a gift, but they were sold out on Amazon UK so we decided to drive into town. We tried Tesco, Game, John Lewis, Argos, Sainsburys, you name it. We eventually did find one at a HMV of all places, but lord that was a long day.

Apologies.  Looks like they under estimated demand in the UK too.

This is good news because if demand is there the Pro will see steady sales right up to next holiday. I imagine Sony will cut it's price and promote it heavily next fall as it will actually have competition then.

Why bother now when they're selling all that they can produce.
