Well the truth is that the Xbox One is a lot more successful than a lot of people think it is, but that's not an excuse for how bad it's doing in other western territories. And for gamers...Microsoft this generation is doing terrible. They're trying to make up for it with cheap conveniences(Games with Gold is amazing, and backwards compatibility is great) but not much else.

Can you atleast do your research before throwing down doom claims. Xbox will always exist aslong as there's a console market. Xbox entered the competition to support the Direct X API. If Xbox folded than majority of 3rd party devs wont use DX. Thats a hit at MS corporation. Xbox doesnt have to be the best selling console. It just has to compete to convince devs to use DX and wave the DX flag as a primary option of APIs

I agree it's a blow. But, just like how it came out of nowhere, they could just announce some other new IP. I mean, I'm incredibly hyped for Horizon on PS4 but I didn't know what it was a year ago. With a new console on the immediate horizon, I'm sure something will fill the void.

But we basically know what all of Microsoft's exclusive studios are working on, and it's very unlikely that there's a "system seller" being provided by a third party. Besides Horizon has been advertised for a year and a half(since e3 2015) and it's now featured in Playstation 4 ads on TV before it's even out. Sony knows how to market their exclusives.

Was Scalebound a system seller?
And I still didn't know about Horizon until E3 last year. I admittedly suck, though.
As for the "Sony knows how to market their exclusives" part: Umm... Okay? I don't know how to reply to that.

Of course it wasn't to the average person, but it was already being made. And besides, it was one of the only games that appealed to the Playstation/PC crowd(as both a PC and PS player myself...this is one of the only games both communities were hyped about).
I don't really think that this is entirely true, but I like how some guy on Youtube said it (forget the Youtubers name). Sony acts like their biggest competition is the PC market, so they make all their games exclusive and bring more value to someone looking for just one console. Microsoft acts like their biggest competition is Sony, so they just release the same Xbox exclusives over and over and over again ... never expanding to get in Sony, Nintendo, or PC players(which is pointless since they have the Win10 store).

Fair enough. Maybe I remember it from before E3 but don't remember remembering it from before E3. I do drink a lot.
Anyway, thanks for the input. Have a good day!
I don't know i'm just ... bummed. I bought my Xbox One when I had a terrible PC and it wasn't announced to be on Windows 10 when I got it. Stuff like Scalebound, Quantum Break, Fables Legends, that was the stuff I was interested in cause it was new stuff. But my Xbox One is collecting serious dust. Hopefully microsoft brings it at e3, because I think they should honestly just move to the Scorpio as a new console.

I'm right there with you. I was excited about those games too. Along with Recore--another game I was excited about despite never seeing any gameplay until it actually released. I didn't care about Quantum Break until one of my friends messaged me on Xbox One telling me how good it was. THEN, before it released, they told me it would suck and I shouldn't buy it. Oh well. They weren't bad games. It's just that we had limited info on what they actually are until launch so our imaginations filled in the blanks.
I think Scalebound was the same. In all honesty, I can't remember what the game looks like. I think it was a girl and a dragon. Yet, somehow the game was etched into my brain as something I should be excited for.
I still love my XBO, though. Heck, I already had one in 2014 and wound up buying TWO MORE before the end of 2016 (three if you count the one I bought as a gift). Different strokes, I guess.
