Yeah. I hate to pile on Microsoft or kick fans when they're down, but what the heck is going on? A super-powerful console without games is just a glorified paperweight.

Microsoft really, really needs to reinvest money in first-party studios and forge meaningful relationships with third-parties for exclusive games. It doesn't need to throw money at a high-end console.

All that hype they built up around the Scorpio.... and it might just fall flat on its head.

Systems need games to showcase them.

You know all the 3rd party are focusing their efforts mainly on the PS4 because of install base sizes, scorpio isnt going to play 3rd party games and have them look much better than the PS4pro does.

So to sell this much more expensive console, they need some 1st party games that really push the hardware and show something that the normal PS4/XB1, cant do.

But the console is going to have lots of games, just not exclusive ones.

At the moment you aren't any better than guys who say that Switch won't have any games because multiplatform titles won't be coming.

While I get the sentiment you're relaying...it's different with Nintendo. We all know Nintendo's first party games will be there and it will be of the highest quality. Still I get what you're trying to say tho.

It's funny how ppl are saying about a showcase game for Scorpio . And everyone keeps forgetting what this year is, it's halo 3 . Ten year anniversary, that game will be the showcase at e3.

Care to define "without" because last time I checked the Xbox One has plenty of games and a lot of good games are coming this year (exclusives or not)?

Based on the teaser video, which is just that, an early teaser to create hype, if we assume Scorpio has 12GB RAM and a 6TFlop GPU, then it would stand to reason that what was unknown, the CPU, is at least one of the components that was beefier than what he expected.

Considering at the very least, he must have expected Jaguar at PS4 Pro clocks or better, odds are good its not Jaguar but a newer CPU arch like Excavator or Ryzen. Jaguar or Puma doesn't seem "beefy" at all for a Scorpio spec'd console.

Sounds like MS may have the first box checked off, now to work on the second box. A beast of a machine will sell millions of consoles early on, but without continuous quality games to back it up, sales will slow much quicker than they would like.

Without 1st or 2nd party games, that arnt on the PS4, and multi plats being made to suit playstation (because of install base).

The differnce in visual quality between the PS4pro and scorpio will be miniscule.

Basically MS needs some visually impressive games this year, 1st party games, that ll help sell the scorpio.

Thats what I ment.

Them Loseing Scalebound (which was a good looking game) could hurt their scorpio sales.
