Halo Boss on Project Scorpio Specs: "Beefier Than I Expected"

"Haha, although I probably 'know' [what Project Scorpio's specs are] in that I might have seen it in a slide or something, it's literally not something I have time to think about now and I actually couldn't remember whatever specs I've been exposed to even if I was tortured."

"I literally couldn't leak or answer a question that went beyond, 'Can I do this? Does it support that? How many of these could it render?' What I do remember is that it's beefier than I expected."

-Halo boss Frank O'Connor

Daily Scorpio news thread .

Best interview ever!
"I actually couldn't remember whatever specs I've been exposed to even if I was tortured."
Brimming with information!

supposedly Scalebound was just canned.... and we get a PR statement about how good the scorpio's hardware will be.

But what good does that do without the games?

also this answear he gives "cant say anything" its non news, its like damage controll PR.

Scorpio is going to be good hardware, not sure why anyone would doubt it. MS is clearly aiming to make the most powerful game hardware ever, and by a good margin at that, and they have all the resources to do so.

Scorpio will be awesome. They need to make sure that their previous games do the 4k naturally and not require millions of patches to make happen. Seems like the 4k or the high fps modes were pretty hit and miss on the Pro.

Can't wait to see what's underneath the hood.

Scorpio will be a fine machine. Now if you would as to be so kind MS, please build up your first party studios, thank you.

Yeah. I hate to pile on Microsoft or kick fans when they're down, but what the heck is going on? A super-powerful console without games is just a glorified paperweight.

Microsoft really, really needs to reinvest money in first-party studios and forge meaningful relationships with third-parties for exclusive games. It doesn't need to throw money at a high-end console.

...and for $400-500, right?! PC gamers are idiots spending all these dollars with Scorpio around the corner.
