I disagree on bringing back the monthly ban thread. Do we really need to publicly shame users just for a few users Enjoyment? We should not keep fuelling the toxic atmosphere.

I concur. Please don't bring that back. I'm glad the mod thread is back though.

Interesting thread, I always wonder are there more people who come to vgchartz because the moderation on here is rather strict (like myself) or people who do not come here because of that exact point, not just because they are banned but people who find it hard to phrase a reply to someone without calling them a dribbling spastic or throwing in a few racial slurs into the reply to "add colour to it" so they just leave and look for other places to put their musings, like the youtube comments section or a toilet wall.

One thing I did enjoy back in the day when I still visited the site frequently, was that the people here was so mature. Typically your videogames forum is full of physically and/or mentally 15 year olds, while VGC had people in their 30's and 40's. Having some older people can offer you a more mature discussions and a whole different kind of dynamics between users and mods.

From my point of view, this site have always been middle ground when it come to moderating.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

The thread is open again? Nice.

I'd like to point out the fact that there is a gross negligence by the Mod Team in moderating outside of the confines of this website.

Last Sunday I didn't take the trash out and the garbage truck came and went and my trash right still right here. I've hit Saturday and it's baffling that I haven't even received a warning for it. You guys need to step up your game.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I think it'll be great. More transparency is better. Plus my few months of being a dickhead are over so now I can laugh at other people help other people become model charterz.

What if Nintendo paid you to get a Nintendo logo on your butt? A) would you do it and B) would you show it?

Mario on one cheek, Yoshi on the other.

butt tattoos are very nasty.

Just tagging, probably won't have time to actually post or read anything until friday though...

You can see wether or not a user is banned under their avy or if you visit their profile. That's transparent enough. The information is there if people want it. If it wasn't clear, I voted no.

To get this thread back on topic before it turns into the second tale of someone's butt, I voted "no" in the poll. Just adds work for the mod team and about half of the bans are for alt accounts and spambots. There has never been much value to the list because the moderated posts weren't linked, but adding links would only result in more unnecessary work.

What about a compromise? Alts and spambots don't make the list.

Miguel_Zorro, how much work is it to make a list? Even to make a list with links?

Bans should only matter to the mods and not to anybody else. If there needs to be transparency then that's an issue within the mod team and public shaming users shouldn't be the way to fix it. So I stand by my original comment and vote no.

But they shame themselves in the thread they get a ban in. A list doesn't really further the shame but  only document the ban.
