Wow. The mods gave him so many chances though. I secretly always rooted for him to do better, I never disliked the guy, he just went about things the wrong way. There are plenty of anti-Nintendo posters here, they just go about their business much more schrewdly

I kind of feel the same way. Quickrick actually could occasionally act decent.

I'm confused. I just got a warning for saying that Quickrick could act decent? How is that "mocking" or "doing anything in bad taste"? I didn't even see Amy's warning till after my post.

I'm also confused as well, did not see Amy's post until after I clicked submit. Wasn't intentionally trying to break any forum rules.

Well, it was there. And this topic isn't about Rick so stay on topic.

The topic WAS about Quickrick. This is the moderator  thread, the topic is regularly about the people who get moderated. Not only that, but Amy's post didn't say "stop talking about Quickrick", it says don't escalate the situation. Escalating is posts that are increasingly bad, usually posts that are there to make fun of banned users. It's not escalating if we're merely talking about a moderation that happened recently, especially if we're saying something positive about the banned member. I don't think moderations should be handed out so liberally even if it's just a warning ... especially when the post didn't tell users to stop talking about Quickrick. Quickrick was the topic, being on topic isn't a synonym for changing the topic.

Right. There shouldve been more clarification on that, that's on me. But now that there is clarification and you now know, It's time to drop the Quick talk/topic and move on and get back on the topic at hand.

That being said, are we able to get our warnings removed since the direction wasn't clear? I have a pretty clean mod history, and kinda bites to receive one on a technicality. If not, I understand

Yeah this is the only question I have now. That was the only post I was going to make on that topic. I wasn't looking to continually talk about it @Amy.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Let's start getting this thread back on the tracks it's meant for.

Can I just say how much I appreciate the mod team on this site?

I mean I may not always agree with the way things are handled, but on almost every other major forum I have been a part of, mods either let trolling run rampant and do nothing to stop it, or are despots on a power trip and ban people for the silliest reasons.

Here though, I feel like we're truly lucky to have a thoroughly decent group of humans who make a real effort to keep the community civil and fair.

Hats off to you guys.
