If you aren't someone who generalizes, you won't have anything to worry about. It's a very easy thing to avoid.

Can we also include generalizations including political spectrum?

I'm not pointing fingers in any direction, but I feel like a lot of the negativity in the Politics forum can be solved by not allowing generalization on that basis. For that matter, we should probably also prevent generalizations concerning platform allegiance.

That would likely lead to alot of unnecessary banning because alot of opinions can't be backed up and it's very common. It's too easily exploitable. Just imagine the reports during E3. It's just asking for an increased workload.

In a nerdy sounding voice, "Charlie generalized nintendo again. See? He said labo is for kids".

In a fake masculine voice, "Franky called JRPGs niche for the millionth time. I thought there was a rule about generalizing? What is the mod team gonna do?"

Mods, would you let me spray everyone in the eyes with bear mace? to put things in perspective, please? Instead of saying that thing about first world problems, it should be changed to forum problems. 😷

I guess I'll have to be careful with what I say about capitalists then.

I wouldn't report you. 😸

Should've just ended the question here and I'd say "Yes, but only if you record it"

Ya know, I could still edit it and we can pretend that's the first time you saw it. 🙏

It's not. They were chatting to me on my wall. Mods must have deleted or something though. They said they thought my Pika was cute, asked if I would evolve and said they liked me. So all SFW for me.

Dreams and reality are still separate Ka-pi.

Saying Labo is for kids isn't a generalization about Nintendo fans.

Saying JRPGs is niche is also not a generalization about JRPG fans.

Both of your examples suck. A generalization about a group of people would be to say something like "PlayStation fans have no taste".

A generalization can be about a something or people. You weren't specific in what you were referring to beyond "political spectrum" and "platform allegiance". Being overly vague allows for open ended interpretation. I think you changed what you meant after the fact. Anyway, the rule as is specifically mentions  generalizing groups of people. 🙀

I thought it would be clear to anyone who read the rule that we would be discussing generalizations about groups of people, generalizations about any aspect of life.
