I thought I was being nice. Didn't mean to come off passive aggressive.

Anyway it's good to get your thoughts. I don't agree with how you behave on here or your opinions on this matter but that's just another opinion.

The guy is really something, like wow, 50 posts about me, the mods and the whole community has heard him. He's been posting about me like i killed his dog or something. i personally feel the mods should do something about this, all it does, is let more people want to attack, and bully, and feel more justified. yea it's fine to complain about  some one, but this thread has become about me, thanks to roll, and his campaign. make your complaint, and move on, the mods have heard you.

He’s been deliberately provoking people since I‘ve first come to this site.

And then you'll see him say he has power over all and that he can use said power every two comments.

What are you trying to say ? IMO CGI is one of the best mods around here...

He is...level headed and always on point.

You'll have to do a better job than that to convince me that you deserve to be thrown into the same pit as quickrick.

If you aren't going to name people, then this will be difficult. For a start, you could a name an Xbox guy, because that would prevent this conversation from pulling others in and turn it into a Nintendo vs. Sony fight.

That's not the reason I'm not naming people. I'm not into witch hunts. I'll leave that to you.

BTW who have you singled out in the past in this way? I know quickrick, Kerotan, me and GribbleGrunger. Who else?

Me

Imo there shouldn't be public discussions about a user's behaviour even if it's in a "moderators thread". I guess special rules apply in this thread that allow the backseat moderating rules to be overlooked, but a discussion of this type should be private between actual moderators, and never devolve into what this was.

Several Mods agree with this.

This thread should be used to deal with general requests and overall issues, but specific User Histories/Moderations should remain among The Mod Team.

Can I say that I agree. That's why I didn't want to get into this thing with naming people like rol pushed for. Only mentioned quickrick because it was a disgrace what was happening on here to him and felt like I needed to say something.

I disagree. If anything we should be allowed to discuss the behavior of certain users in the very threads they're currently misbehaving in.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

That considered, other mods are okay with the discussions in here (and we've yet to really clash about it). So unless we agree as a Team that we should hold back on that, it'll probably remain.

I can understand the sentiment, but I think when wanting to discuss the issues, and potential solutions, that empirical evidence/historical examples should be given in order to have a better idea of what is being suggested/critiqued.

If specific users and their histories are at the middle of major issues, then it's only right that those people are named and discussed.

I think talking crap about someone in here, name dropping and bad mouthing, asking for moderation of said user, even going to mods' wall to complain about a certain user, is not done. Speak directly to the person you're having trouble with. By PM if you have to. Otherwise ignore, move on and stop trying to personal army the mods.

The discussion about users should be kept within the mod team because it's their decision and it's toxic for users to just sling crap at each other. What a user thinks of others doesn't matter especially if doesn't involve a report or moderation.
