You missed my edited post... Here it is:

17.5m...

35.9m as of  Jan 3rd 2016

53.4m as of Jan 1st 2017

( and it was 18.5m as of Jan 4th 2015, of which the 4.1m were from 2013 nov-dec, launch months )

So you're completely correct!

I think it sold 4.1m in nov-dec 2013, not 4.2m... lol Not that it makes any difference!

i just googled "PS4 sales 2013" and a few articles popped up saying 4.2 million.

What if... sony is bought by a giant like Apple ? 
I think that Apple needs sony to reach living rooms.
Apple has so much cash and YEN is so low that they could buy sony with less than 20% of their money.

And with sony Apple then could go full war with microsoft...

Sony as a company hasn't been doing well. Playstation, insurance and I believe their movie division are the only ones doing well.

Who said that? I said parents are looking at getting their kids a $99 or $150 tablet. A gaming system with free games that you can take anywhere vs a stay at home console.... 

 

The switch if priced too highly is going to have a lot of trouble selling, since it's going to be bought by core Nintendo guys(Wii u ppl) and targeted at the tablet gaming audience(the thing needs free Android bloatware games to sell to that audience imo, a mom ain't getting Jimmy a switch for $250 with $50 games, when she can get him the LG G PAD for $150 and hundreds of $5 or less games).... A console weaker than the ps4 and even Xbox one by a margin is not going to appeal to core gamers.... Also the whole H D gaming on the go thing didn't really work for sony, The Vita offered portable ps4 gaming and nobody gave a fuck...

Oh yeah so many laughed to m'y face when i prédicted Uncharted/ND would become much bigger than Halo/Halo studio years ago and here WE are, Uncharted thé most sold exclusive of thé génération
