I didnt think PS4 would be up YOY for the holiday overall but its nice to see that it is. Congrats to Sony and Naughty Dog.

See what I mean when I said just wait for the numbers?

I think Sony probably would've liked to have seen a better YoY improvement, but you can't really complain too much with those sales. No one else in the industry is anywhere close.

By a good margin. Probably due to Pro.

Hardware up 8.77% YoY, software up 44% YoY

Confirmed right now by Kaz Hirai

Pretty bad increase in hardware sales tbh...

Considering you had $250 ps4 slims, a pro version of the console, the VR launch, FF XV finally launching, and UNCHARTED 4 launching that year as well.... For there only to be a 100k increase says something....

Would not be surprised if the tablet market is eating into the console market as well..... Parents would rather buy kids a $99 tablet over a $250 inhome only console :S, just an assumption.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMN!

Uncharted 4 getting close to the 10m is unsurprising tho.

  •  UNCHARTED 4: A Thief's End reached a cumulative sell through of more than 8.7 million copies globally*4 as of December 21, 2016.

That was 2weeks ago, over 8.7m.

With the new bundle for the slim, it wont be long until it goes over 10m.

Hardware up 8.77% YoY, software up 44% YoY

...and with all the games comeing in 2017, its probably gonna be up then too.

Up 8% YoY. Pretty surprising given the Pro and Slim are such bombas.

Must have been a lot of old stock left
