Square-Enix in panic mode that they've damaged a key part of their business (the FF franchise) I see.

I think it's too little, too late now, this was what Capcom was praying for with Street Fighter V, that a bunch of DLC would save it, but there's been no notable uptick in sales.

Hold that L Square-Enix.

Except FF XV still sold over 5 million worldwide.... And about a million in Japan with digital included.

It isn't an L, and the game isn't as bad as people say it is.... It's right where metacritic has it, an 82/100 which is a very good game

5 mill shipped, it probably is never going to sell through that shipment without massive discounting, so the damage has been done as next time retailers are not going to trust Square-Enix. It's also well below FF13 for a game that likely had higher development costs.

It's an awesome game, don't mind the haters

The problem is the standard cost. They should sell the whole package, full game + season pass for $59.99 and I think most people would feel better about that. It's a good, not perfect game. Love the battle system, music and open world. Story needs work. The DLC will improve it further. Just cut the price quickly so people don't have to spend $85 for the complete experience.

I think the game at standard cost is probably worth it if you consider other games like it. It's got lots to do (I presume, not played it) but with how modern gaming is, it's very unlikely SquEnix would not do DLC for a game like this, they have money to make back. Although I agree with you on the price point, they want to get consumers on their side, just release all extra stuff for free.

This said DLC should never have to improve a story, especially one contained in the original game (which many would have completed before the DLC comes out). That makes no sense. DLC is additional content, not main game narrative.

Hmm, pie.

honestly this is terrible. you have to watch a movie, watch a anime, buy a book, read websites, and buy DLCs just to understand the freaking story.. dont even sugar coat it and say that's fine.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

So the reward is that we will get the full games long long after the actuall release...

yeah that's great...

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

And here I thought they would give back our money kkkk

The game sold more than uncharted 4 did on Amazon..... It was the best selling ps4 game in the u.s on Amazon....

And it is still selling well on there, I suspect it'll easily surpass 5 million sales....
