Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Will the Scorpio own the PS4Pro in EVERY hardware category?

Most likely. Will it matter in the war? probably not so much.

I'd like to say that the power edge is vastly overappreciated. We live in a world where PCs have an edge over the PS4 Pro by more than 300% on all aspects. The Scorpio's Edge of a mere 50% is basically nothing to make a sizable difference.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It being a new console, I sure would hope so. The real question is though, will it dominate in the Software Department?

Who the fuck cares? The ps4 and the ps4 pro have been owning all forms of Xbox one in every aspect of hardware for year(s) now and that was never a major discussion point nor did Sony ever try to market or brag about that. I'm hoping Microsoft plans to sell Scorpio off the back of actual exclusives first and foremost but all signs are pointing toward them trying to tour the power advantage because they seemingly don't have much else to talk about.

When you say exclusives. What variation do you mean? Scorpio only? XB1 + Scorpio? Or PC + Xb1 + Scorpio? Or I guess PC+Scorpio is also an option.

I only mean the real exclusives like the ones on Scorpio, xb1 og, 360 backward compat, xb1+PC, Scorpio+PC, ,Scorpio+PC+xb1 og, 360 backward compat on Scorpio, any games not released on ps4. The real exclusives.

To people who thinks that M$ is going back pack a highend PC in there while charging you $400. Wake up....

(I buy a new $2000 Razorblade that just came out in October and it is only 4.4 Tflops)

Sony won't be mentioning the words PS5 until at least 2019. Otherwise it will look like a bait and switch for PS4 Pro when PS5 is around the corner. It would be a turn off to people who went for the Pro.

I think MS will do the same with Scorpio. It won't matter if Scorpio destroys it hardware wise since both are still tied to the base models.

If its another APU, i believe it will be bottlenecked. As long as the games look super graphically, MS are happy. Consoles will never leave the sub 30 fps scene.

THIS.

But Scorpio FTW.

Also without games, how M$ think can win the war???

I wont be surprised. Xbox has always delivered more powerful hardware than Sony, give or take most cases they release there consoles later. Only exception is the launch XB1.

XBOX > PS2
360 > PS3 (Majority of 3rd Party games ran better on 360)
PS4 > XB1
SCO > PRO

MS do well when it comes to competing with Power.

Do you think there will be a hardware aspect in which the Scorpio won't significantly outperform the PS4 Pro?

The price.

PS4pro will be 349$, when the Xbox Scorpio is 449$ or 499$.

The question is simply just a matter of, if people are willing to pay 100$-150$ more to get a scorpio?

I think Sony plan is to fight them with exclusives. ei. Games,games,games.... and cheaper price.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
