Someone using a tracker nowinstock.net said it was in stock at 435am at amazon and was sold out again by 440am given they haven't confirmed me if it was Switch or the Zelda Switch Legendary thing. So if either spiked that was because of that.

Huh, if that is what's happening that could explain it. Still unusual.

Might be nothing, just know someone chasing down both switch and zelda legendary bundle and he said something like that. However think both might be pretty much impossible.

Switch down to #3, the slide begins

Why the askerisk next to Switch?

Question: how can something keep selling when its sold out?

Still at #01 and 'currently unavailable'. Another thing to take into consideration is the way the Amiibos and Switch software is offsetting the sales of the other two consoles. I bet you could add at least 10 - 15 place to both the PS4 and the XB1 if those were'nt there.

From what I know, the chart represents the best sellers for the past 24 hours. Yes, it is updated hourly, but that doesn't mean it is only the ranking for one hour. So, unless you see the item unavailable for 24 hours, you can't assume something is wrong with the ranking.

Example: At 7 am January 17th they update the chart  t o represent the ranking of best sellers from 7 am on 16th to 7 am on the 17th. At 8 am they update it from 8am on the 16th to 8 am on the 17th.

Anyway, it has been out of stock for more than 24 hours by now and still very high on the ranks so something is weird.  We need to look at third party sellers and how they're incorporated in the charts.

The PS5 Exists.

So I thought I would point this out: I did some digging through Amazon's Best Sellers list history and found something interesting: despite what people are saying, the Wii U never at any point was sold out this fast nor managed to top a monthly best seller list. It came close a couple of times, sorta. So no, this exact scenario did not happen with the Wii U. There are other factors such as the short window between preorders being available and launch. But in general, the Switch's level of pre-launch purchasing buzz seems to be a good bit higher than Wii U's was.

Assuming Amazon aren't now using the charts to promote hardware/software, that's good news for Nintendo. For me this uncertainty started when Amazon began pushing lots of products through Prime. This isn't the case here but it does make me less inclined to immediately believe what I'm seeing, something that wasn't the case before when I would confidently (and accurately) announce who the winner of that month would be. It still amazes me that some people on GAF and even on here would question the validity of Amazon, especially when I and others were right every single time. It was mindboggling to me. The irony is that now I'm skeptical because of clear changes last year, some of those people who questioned Amazon are now questioning my motives for being skeptical, even though we actually DO have reason to doubt it at the moment. You can't make this stuff up.

Ah! That makes sense!

Well im glad they are still kicking the software chart!
