Huh? Where  talking  about  the ps4 pro.

So am i, both run at 30.

Maybe you missed the post where square enix said they are targeting 60 fps pro patch for ffxv in December.  I don't really understand what the rest of the stuff you are saying has to do with it.  They said they have it running at 50fps atm which hasn't yet been released,  which is why you see it locked at 30

I heard that the team is in a mess or something and have been for a while.

Pretty sure the patch will be released in January.

Completed the game on normal PS4, 70hours of whatever frame rate it is on the normal machine. Didn't affect my experience whatsoever. Pixel police are far too fussy.

I agree it runs fine and I've also put 60 hours into it.  But i did want to experience in the best possible form given final fantasy is my favourite franchise.

Read it somewhere maybe it was here on VG but the guy said that the team has been in a mess for a while and it still is.

I mean too be far it IS an action JRPG of sorts.

I think the bigger problem is that playing an hour of the game so far, for me personally the game lags *more* when i'm just walking around. It's like 20 frames per second when you walk around the world. It's terrible.

I wish developers would start using framerate like a normal gamer instead of as a PR move. If they could get a 40 frames patch on the pro with ease, but not a 60 fps patch, then i'd be fine. I just want a smoother  game, if they can't make it 60 fps, just release the best framerate update possible ffs and stop targeting an unrealistic frame rate.

^this is not at the game in general just at video games in general. I don't have a pro yet. I'm projecting.

i think it's strange how people are having such different experiences. I felt no frame issues at all, using the Pro in high quality mode. it just never became any issue, i was enjoying the world, combat and story. in 3rd person the framerate is so much less of an issue than if it was first person fast paced.

FFXV is the first game in history that I've ever noticed frame rate issues on! I don't know why. I've only played a couple of hours but within minutes, I had to change the resolution from 4K. It runs okay in 1080p, though.

It's the first game you noticed because even though battles ran at like 10-15fps on FFIX/FFX/FFX-2/FFXII the frame rendering pacing was consistent.

FFXV is the first game that shows what PC gamers hate "micro stutter" where the frame rate on screen isn't representing how the game feels. It's especially noticable when strafing because by definition strafing is liable to highlight frame pacing issues more so than moving forward/aiming as it is something the mind predicts and expects before it takes place.

Oh and yes, very pissed off about this promised patch not being delivered and instead SE releasing some other crap.
In fact I'm really fucking pissed off about it.

People commenting in this thread about it not being an issue are missing the point. The "point" being SE have failed to deliver on a promise but strangely have the development resources to go on to other things.

Thanks for nothing SE 10/10.

I'm playing on the regular PS4 though but man is the frame rate bad.
