Always proceed with caution with any sorts of rumors.

Tho his claims has beeen supported by Laura Kate Dale, in the first case, so I guess he has some good insider telling him telling him everything. The fact that he is willing to do this during 12 days in sucession is so crazy that it might be true for a large portion of it.

Doesn't mean that VR will be highlighten during the Switch event though. Could be reserved for another event like E3 or a Nintendo Digital Event.

I mean, the same thing happened with the Wii U when it comes to Assassin's Creed. I don't think it's much of a leap for anyone to have guessed something like that.

still safe to avoid rumours. Look at how disappointed people become when they raise their expectations so much.

when VGChartz was basically NXchartz, I remember some people saying they wanted minimum 1080p on the portable version of the NX. That's simply crazy thinking. I know a lot of people on VGChartz were simply hoping for 480p, so getting HD is very good news.

Rumours lead to disappointments. I think it's always been like that.

I have my doubts, but it's not out of the question

Soo tell me again how a 1.9tflop system needs more power for vr but a mere portable 1tflop is going to make a " smooth experience?

Vr in phones are laughable bad btw nothing compared to what psvr can do.

Well, I think the belief is that it will use VR just like phones do.  You just slide it into a device.  Only problem is the screen is 720p. Even at 1080p on 5.5" phones you can see the pixels that make up the screen.  At 720p and 6.2", VR on this thing is going to look horrible.  This will end up like the VR on Virtual Boy, only in color.

Won't happen.

This would be the virtual boy 2.0 if they did so

I'm pretty sure I remember someone from Nintendo saying that the market isn't ready for mainstream VR.

This person right here people is the kind of person that you don't want to become as a Gamer/YouTuber, I once was subscribed to OBE1 when he had a little more than 300 subs and he simply reported news as well as his first impressions on stuff that happened (sometimes even non-Nintendo stuff), then he started making "live reactions" (hint hint, they are fake AF) and he realized that the more hyped he seemed to the pubblic, the more people would be interested in him, now he's just a Fanboy that could praise Federation Force

Lol, meant more because of the poor execution of it.  Technically, VB should have been called 3D Boy, as that is what it was.  Nintendo didn't force devs to make games as 1st person, not even their own.  I believe their was only one game that was even from the player's perspective.

Not sure how VR would enhance a 2D Mario Maker.

Kinda burnt out on rumours, but, would this explain the WSJ rumours? The guy there was saying the screen was 1440p and was downsampling and everyone wrote it off as absurd. But if Nintendo is doing VR, a 720p screen wouldn't cut it.

If Nintendo does plan to launch it though, wouldn't they have an edge over the competition?

Because if I am correct it would mean the Switch would be the first in the console space to be fully wireless and not require it to be hooked up or communicating with anything else to play as well as foregoing an extra peripheral that costs as much as the console(I assume the VR headset is about 100 or 150 dollars and that's probably stretching it).

The Switch unit itself slots into the VR like the Google cardboard thing, but you don't have to buy extra controllers or whatever because the Switch comes with it's own Wiimotes basically, all wireless.  And unlike Google Cardboard Nintendo would be giving support for the games and bolster the library.

So if true, and with Nintendo behind it giving it support, the Switch VR could very well be the best and likely cheapest option for VR.

But I'm not familiar with the other VR stuff much.  How would Switch VR stack up against the other VR options?  I assume Switch will launch at 250-300 and the headset likely 100-150. but simply because VR would require much more processing power which pushes the system to need something like that and why the fan would need to be on the Switch unit?
