Forums - Gaming Discussion - Remember when we thought we'd have a great holiday battle in 2015?

Zelda
Halo 5
Uncharted 4

All slated to be released in Holiday 2015 for a sales battle we were all ready for.

It couldn't have gone more wrong as they all ended up releasing in different years

Halo 5 made it to 2015
Uncharted 4 2016
Zelda 2017

What hopeful battles do you think we'll actually get in future?

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Pokemon vs GTA

Haha yeah, not that it really mattered. Sony still won the holidays and UC4 looks like it will go on to sell the most of the 3.
MS just desperately needed a system seller at the time, too bad Halo isn't what it used to be.
As for Zelda, they made the right choice. It wouldn't have helped WiiU sell much better but now it can really push new hardware sales early on n the Switch's life.

Mass effect Andromeda vs Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4 is hoing to be intresting.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Dragon Quest XI vs Ni No Kuni 2 vs Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

Isn`t DQ massacring those two a pretty safe bet though?

In Japan, most certainly.

In the west tho, I wouldn't be so sure. FF always sells well and the first Ni No Kuni was very well received
Its ma battle for me at least. :P

Well I hate to disappoint you there but UC4 has only sold 5.4 million units and it's not going to sell much more beyond this. Sony's games really don't have long legs like that, even Naughty Dog titles.

Zelda will easily eclipse this number even with UC4's massive head start, simply because it is already presented as the Zelda fans have been wanting for years!

The fact that I had to wait 2 extra years for Zelda is precisely why I won't buy it. Back then the Wii U still had crazy droughts, so I would have bought it then. But 2 years later and since then I've gotten a PS4 and played better games at cheaper prices (uncharted trilogy, GTA, overwatch). I'm not getting a console to play Zelda, and I'm probably not getting it on the Wii U (if it still gets ported), since I'm sure it'll suffer performance issues.

Im pretty sure uncharted 4 will still have strong legs going on and the PS4 is still going to dominate this gen leading to more uncharted 4 sales

It was all planned!

Well Sony's hardware never seems to translate into software selling through the roof, which is why there are still many 1st party WiiU titles well beyond 1st party PS4 titles in sells. You claiming to have played better games on PS4 than what, the Zelda game that hasn't released yet?

When all is said and done by the time PS4 is a distant memory and we are onto the next console cycle or upgrades, no one will remember much about the current PS4 line up...
