I have played tens of games on my 3ds and WiiU this generation/last generation, or whatever the hell Nintendo is calling a generation. I have bought almost every good 1st party game they created, and only third party exclusives ( Bravely Defualt and Bayonetta 2 for example)  because I had a PS4 that I later on traded for an XOne which i currently have because I am a big fan of Gears and Halo.

I know nintendo reuses the same IPs over and over, some better than others. But there was one IP that they brought back on the Nintendo 3ds. This particular IP isnt one you'd expect someone to be fond off, but this game was probably my favorite 3DS game of all time, possibly the most fun I have had since 2012 when it first came out. 

That game being: Kid Icarus Uprising!

The major compailnt that the reviewers had was the controls, but in fact I was fond of the controls. The precision and responsivness of the controls gave it alot of room for dedicated gamers to master them. I almost finished all chapters on the highest difficutly, and got around 340 trophies out of the 360. I collected 100s of weapons, and almost always ranked 1st place in multiplayer.

I cant believe I am saying this, but I would want Sakurai to work on this game more than Smash 5 or any other project. Infact, I would get excited for this game more than the Switch itself and Breath of the wild!

I would love another Kid Icarus. As a matter of fact, I took Monster Hunter Generations out of my 3DS for the first time since I got the game (on launch day) to play Kid Icarus: Uprising. I think the controls were perfect and destroy dual analog. I am sad that so many hated on it. It reminds me of console gamers that complain of hand cramps when playing PC keyboard and mouse setup for the first time or after a long time away from the style. The style fit me perfectly and my only complaint was that the competitive community moved on from it so fast. There really was so much to the game.

I do not think it would be my most anticipated game (Monster Hunter) but it would be on the short list of games that I feel would justify the Switch. Unfortunately, it seems like Sakurai may have other plans when he gets back to working at full strength. Hopefully the rumors of Smash 4 being on Switch are untrue and he can work on another Icarus title or a new title in that time (while making another Smash a few years down the line... Smash 4 is so good it needs time to stale before making another one).

Only a TTYD sequel would make me buy it day 1.

Yeah sign me up for that, would much rather see a new Kid Icarus than another Smash Bros.

Uprising is the best game on the 3DS IMO. It also I think really changed the way Nintendo game's can tell a story within a game. 

I am going to buy day one.
But, please Nintendo make another Kid Icarus game or remake Uprising.

Pokemon HD for me. That's wht I'm looking forward to playing on the big screen.

Half life 3

There is no game nintendo can produce that would beat a new mass effect or red dead for me, even zelda which I love, mario kart or pokémon just doesn't reach that level.

So its very simple, I wont buy it on launch since I found the Wii-U hasn't delivered and I want to see how the sales turn out in the first 2-3 years before buying into a console from nintendo again.

Unfortunately, there is no one game that would make me buy a system day one, need enough good titles in order to justify the purchase
