And most people born as millenials sure wouldn't survive the past milenium with their weak backbones...

I've been bullied most of my school life, but that ended up making me insensitive for most jokes and not bothering with idiotic stuffs, that allows me to have a very compossed atitude at work

I think this is a huge misconception. More likely than not the vast majority of millenials pay absolutely no attention to the "safe space" debate at all. They're too busy going to school, working, and starting families to worry about this kind of shit. Which is largely just an internet debate. Not to mention that a large chunk of millenials have grown up fighting the longest war in American history.

This is just another case of a generation being told they're undiciplined babies by the generation before them, just like has happenend with every other generation.

May be a missconception, but unfortunatelly a lot of the millenials I happen to know acts more or less inside the steriotype made to them.

But I agree with you that it's quite possibly just the vocal minority that are very annoying.

Absolutelly, as a kid I was bullied as well and what that happened  was not suicide or insanity, it was:

1 - Self-observation to understand if part of the criticism was deserved. Most of it really was.

2 - Effort to overcome part of the weakness.

3 - Accepting the weaknesses that were not fixable (like being a short guy).

4 - Realizing my place in the social arrangement and finding ways to get into the spots I wanted.

5 - Growth, understanindg the social fabric.]

Most of this was unconscious, cause it was simply the process of growing more mature and becoming a adult.

Yep, similar to me.

I have curl hair, average height and were very skinny and quite ugly with fabulous grades. That led to all kind of jokes with my hair, being a nerd, etc. Neither of them prevented me from having a few but good friends, finding a wife and having a good job.

A part of bullying could or should be corrected? Sure, there are some people that go really overboard. But usually the best way for that is teaching how to fight back and filter, because you'll never be able to control what others do and how they will try to harm you, just how you'll be able to overcome it.

I'm sorry but posts like this just sound as whiny and entitled as the "SJWs" you "hyper sensitive to any criticism men" get.

1st off -- society changes ok. It's not 1970 or 1980 or 1880 anymore. The world you go to sleep to dies a little bit and evolves forward the next day. Change happens. Constant whining about change to me is part of the same coin.

Yes you can't say the same things without impunity today, when I was in high school I was a self admitted jock. I played sports and the banter was different then. "Stop playing like a fucking fag" for example was accepted talk. Today it's not with kids that age that I see, and you know what? I say good on them. It was stupid when it was done back then, but no guy really had the balls to step up and say it was wrong, we just all went along with it, and that isn't any better.

Also Ripley is a fictional movie character and the "kick ass" fetishization is primarily to appeal to (well) men ... lets get that clear. If you want to choose an apt example maybe try using a real person. Like Oprah Winfrey or someone. It's like saying Darth Vader is strong in the movies, so men have nothing to complain about.

You're right - you can go around and freely say Merry XMas.

Did you make that vid OP?

Its very good if you did. Agree with everything you said.

The War on Terror had hardly on effect on the life of a Millennial unless they lost a loved one in a terror attack or in a theater of war. As a result to compare that war to how previous generations went through the world Wars or even Vietnam is a bad comparison.

Millennials do have it very easy and imo it does make them weak imo compared to past generations in terms of strength and grit. I would argue it is a bit like the late Roman Empire...

Of course we have more tolerance and overall peace but that is simply a byproduct of our time then people being born with goodness in them.

I doubt we young people would obsess SJW causes and safe spaces if the society they lived in had existential threats as generations in the past had to deal with.

Guys, I figured out a way to the perfect society and it's called "survival of the fittest"!
Seriously, for such an unannounced post, go sit in a corner

What I expect from you gals is not phisical strenght, but psichological posture, a girl that do not scream TRIGGER! for everything she sees.

I think all SJWs should learn about IMPROVISATION CLASSES. The Improv teaches us that the secret of a good dialogue is the key phrase: "YES, AND..."

Without this, everyone become a enemy, every dialogue becomes a confrontation. It is the perpetual war state that Thomas Hobbes talked about, cause the social empathy is gone in the SJW, they are always looking for fights.

Meaning, not a brutal opposition against everything that was given, but a assimiliation and then a build-up upon it.

When SJWs act like rabid monkeys screaming and jumping at anything that "triggers" them, they become jokes, lose all respect and this is way SJWerism is dying.

This has nothing to do with you by the way, I´ve seen you around, you´re a cool girl. That is all I want from women, that they keep their cool.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

That is what I usually say about minorities movements... they can and do a lot of addo about very minute things because the real important problems were already solved some time ago, so now they are more on demanding extras.

Yes, she achieved unprecedent financial success.

Not by accident or luck. She is mentally stronger than most people, I mean and as a woman to have that kind of success without good looks either means it was largely on merit too.

Not just a woman, but a black woman. That's twice as high a mountain to climb right there. And like you said, without being what most people would consider beautiful. Her chances were equivalent to winning a state lottery.
