If you find the video even mildly intriguing, the possibility of love is high. Skip ahead past the giant monster/mech fight if it drags. It's a small-ish part of the game anyways. A big part of the game is acquiring new weapons ( many weapons! ), and getting your armor levels up.

Congrats, you should definitely try Dark Souls 2 + 3 and Bloodborne.
Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection and God of War 3 are must-haves too if you didn't have a PS3.

The Nathan Drake Collection is one I'm defintely getting, I plan on beating all three of them before I even touch Uncharted 4.

**: Only available on PlayStation platforms. While it isn't a PS4 exclusive, it is an otherwise great game a Nintendo gamer would have missed.

***: I didn't want to include remasters, but I feel Scholar changes the formula up enough to constitute as somewhat a new game. It includes all the DLC, new enemy placements, higher framerates, as well as a new optional ending involving Aldia.

****: The same can be said 100x more for Liefthrasir. While it's the same story, the gameplay itself has undergone a MASSIVE overhaul and is almost indistinguishable from the original game. So much has changed, that Vanillaware even went as far as to include a "Classic" move where the game operates on its original engine.

And if you want a good story game I'd say the last of us. and if you like that and want something darker, I'd recommend metro redux.
