Forums - Sony Discussion - I got a PS4 for Christmas!!!

Thank you, Jefe!!

So yes, ladies and gentleman, I am now the owner of not just Nintendo systems (3DS, Wii, Wii U, and pretty soon, Switch) but I have now officially hopped on the Sony Hype Train!
I now have a PlayStation 4! The Slim model to be exact!

You can find me as PAOerful1 (real name: Francisco Ovies)

And my PS4 Starter pack includes:

Uncharted 4 (bundled with the system)
The Dwarves
Dirt Rally
SKYRIM!!!
NBA 2K16
and WWE 2K17

So what I just wanted to ask you guys was for advice in picking out games to help me further my collection and library.
I mostly prefer Platformers, RPGs, and Action-Adventure titles.
But I'm open to any and everything!

Ratchet and Clank is a really good game, and it's like $10 at GameStop.
Until Dawn is also really fun, the choices you make really matter and it's best if you play with others (though you can play fine just alone).
inFamous is just a fun game to play and enjoy the world.

inFamous is one of the series' I've seen that have really intrigued me, and I've heard nothing but great things about the other two. Thanks!

There's 100s of hours of gameplay in Skyrim. The updated version on ps4 features all the DLC including the brilliant vampire killing DLC I forget the name of. Make sure you try playing in both third person and first person. I much prefer first person as I find it more immersive but you may prefer it the other way around.

If you like Skyrim definitely check out Fallout 4.

Congrats. With this pack, you are already well served.
I dont know how much money you have available, but, you should consider the following for the best experience (i got ps4 since day 1).
- put in a new hard drive. It cost me 110 eur to buy a 2 tb drive. As soon as you reach 20± games, you will get in trouble with the 500gb hard drive
- get ps plus. Every month there is at least 1 good free game (dont starve, outlast, killzone, thats what i got, e.g.)
- buy used games: you can really save much money when you dont need every game on day 1. Come back 6 months after release, and get jewels like deus ex used fir 20€.
- game recommendations:
Bloodborne (a must), dark souls 3, witcher 3, metal gear solid 5.

Good luck man

Dark Souls II is selling for cheap on PS store and I think Bloodborne. Great RPGs.

OMG, Bloodborne is just $8 on PSN and the complete edition is just $20. If you haven't played any of the souls games, it's definitely a great place to start. The gameplay is fun and the world is amazing.

Awesome, more games to play!
