Some say Stellaris is better. I don't know, I have a feeling both can't compete with the classics of the genre.

Edit: I only played the original MOO more than 20 years ago. I liked it very much but I still prefered MOM which came a year later (same developer, Simtex) and Civilization (same publisher, my beloved MicroProse). Yes, I said it, I preferred Mom over Moo. But then again, who doesn't.

Which confirms my thoughts about the new MOO and Stellaris in my edited post. I have a feeling many of those modern space 4X games are not as good as the old ones.
