he shot a police officer in Italy before being shot himself, definitely not innocent by any metric

Well, didn't hear about that, ok. But I still refuse to celebrate the killing of any person. It won't bring back any innocents, it only gets us further down the road of the terrorists. If we really want to make a difference, that should be seen in our behaviour. Cheering for the death of someone is barbaric, it's exactly what those kind of people do.

But anyway, I'm not sad or anything either, don't get me wrong. I just don't want to party because of that incident.

sure, as I said, it would be cause to celebrate if he was actually captured alive so some actual investigation could be done and perhaps find some associates of him. death is too easy of an escape for such scum.

having said that I honestly would feel worse about a cockroach being stepped on than this guy being killed.

Nothing says Christmas like killing terrorists. Did you guys learn nothing from Die Hard?

But seriously, the thread title is tasteless.

I find it a little tasteless to say "christmas has come early" in regards to someone being shot and killed... no matter how horrific the person.

Really? how old are you might i ask?

Heard it from the local news today, happy that our police officers "caught him" after we let him out of prison...

Yes, Jesus would be thrilled about this. Tasteless thread title is tasteless.

A dead terrorist causes less suffering than a living one. It's a net win.

Don't see it as celebrating the death of a person. See it as celebrating the lives of the people that he cannot take anymore.

Sorry, should it be "Happy Holidays"?

Changed the thread title to be less offensive to people.

Seriously, can't even celebrate the holidays without people getting offended -.-

On the other hand Santa Claus would give an approving nod. Not sure about the Easter Bunny though...

How on Earth did he manage to reach Milan? All the borders were on maxim alert, how did he manage to cross at least two countries until reaching Italy?

It doesn't really take long to get from Berlin to France. And the France-Italy border most likely wasn't as heavily secured as the Germany borders.

They know that he took the route over france?
