Do you people even write stories for a living? You guys need to stop complaining about this. If you think there is not enough black guys in video games, movies, or whatever, and you want change. Then you need to start writing stories about your black guys, arab guys, or whatever race you like.

DO NOT, do not tell me that i can't write a story about a japanese guy or a white guy because there aren't enough stories about black dudes. That's what happened to my cousin (not me) when she worked in Canada. That's also how Canada lost a good writer.

Btw, please do not make stupid assumption that me and my cousin are racist white. I am a malay guy, and my cousin is a mixed japanese. Only white people can be racist, right?

If it makes you feel better one of the most racist people I ever met was an Asian guy, lol. 

If your writing is really that good and stands to make a publisher or studio money, I would venture a wild guess here and say they'd buy it no matter what.

The funniest thing about this is how clearly the person who made this is pushing an agenda. 2 of these characters are from Heavy Rain - a game where you also play as Madison.

Nathan Drake is now gone and a biracial female has replaced him.

Same thing with Joel- replaced by Ellie.

Aiden from Watch Dogs has been replaced by a black character.

Sheppard is biracial and clearly not white.

GTAV also has a black protagonist.

Ditto for Resident Evil 5. And the franchise general has featured multiple female characters.

Far Cry 3's character was replaced with an indian character in Far Cry 4.

Most of the others I do not know who they are. 

Yes and? The point is white males are more than well represented in modern gaming. Anyone who's denying that is simply blind. 

GTAV has three protagonists, two of them are white.

The topic is about lack of diversity though. I'm pointing out that there's not. Games are also made in the NA and Europe where the majority is white. White males are well represented but that doesn't mean that there is a lack of diversity. Anyone denying that is simply blind.

Uh......I thought that Kratos was white in God of War? Sorry i'm probably wrong i've only played #3. And The Last of Us 2? Unless you have insider info, Joel is still the main protagonist in the game. 

In Europe perhaps, but not America. Under 18 in America will soon be a majority minority and the younger portions of the population are very mixed. Walk into any GameStop or game section at Best Buy, it sure as hell isn't just white kids there. 

Then you also have Japan, South Korea, and other markets that are rising like China/India. 

So game characters becoming more diverse is not terribly surprising. 

The audience that actually plays these games I would say is up to 45% non-white and that number is growing. Gaming is a wonderfully diverse community.
