Forums - Gaming Discussion - So aparrently switch is a 157 gflops hh and 392 gflop when docked.

Those numbers do nothing for me. From what we've seen so far it's perfectly fine for me.

Kinda expected though. No rumors ever said it will be on par with ps4/xone. I just hoped that it would have enough power to support equal versions of 3rd party games (if it has any)

Actually most people, me included, thought that would be only slightly underclocked in hh mode and significantly overclocked in docked mode compared to the X2 specs. I don't think anyone expected it to be not only the old Tegra version but heavily underclocked as well.

Considering it's Nintendo it shouldn't be a shocker but for me it still is.

I've been stating 400 gflops for a long time in multiple threads and this has come as no surprise to me. I didn't expect the portable speed to be quite so low I was stating more like 200-250 gflops. However what is important is cpu speed remains constant between both modes and is at least 2x as powerful as wii u and more likely 2.5x approx. So in either state considerably more powerful than wii u in cpu performance.

So i guess gamers will have a ps4/xone AND maybe a switch as a secondary console. I don't think that having only a switch will be viable...

This would make me feel better about the Switch if true.

I always said it was just a handheld that can be connected to a TV....

They said it's CPU is more powerful than the PS4/XB1, they said it will be able to handle most ports from the PS4/XB1 (cause it supposedly runs a last gen game), They also said 1TF this and that....

Now watch them say specs don't matter and you only buy Nintendo hardware for its exclusives. watch them say this is extremely good for a handheld and it was never designed to be a home console.

Ah well, guess we should all be used to this by now, from Nintendo, from its fans, and from the naysayers (like myself) who Nintendo seems to like to prove right.

But these are Nvidia flops which are better than AMD flops

People who will only have a Switch will be the same ones that only had a Wii U or no console before. I think they'll manage.
