Huge Naruto fan here, but this Boruto BS is just that. BS. One of the most unimaginative things I've ever seen.

But Naruto and the older guys will still be part of it, so I guess I'll watch it.

I mean, I think most people wouldn't hate it as much had the fillers been reduced.

Nothing wrong with fillers- I really liked Part 2's fillers(excluding the first filler arc), and thought the inclusion of side characters was better than the horrendous fillers we saw in Part 1/early Part 2.

Excluding that, the only part in Naruto I'd say is absolutely garbage is the Kaguya fight(and Sakura vs Ino, but come on, can anyone make that interesting?). I wish Kishimoto handled her in a different way.

Like most long-running Shounen authors, he probably wouldn't notice his mistakes as long as his manga sells and shippers and the likes fanboy all over him. Not many readers care about how side characters are treated, especially in Japan.

Pretty unfortunate, because I think Naruto had some of the best morals, side characters, and themes in any Shounen manga. Most just put magical powers/shinigami and hope it rolls, but Naruto represented a lot of interesting things in our society. Nuclear warfare, devastation of war, super powers(think US/USSR, not superman), reincarnation cycle, etc.

I think he'd do much better had the cancerous fans never existed. Shippers, complainers, etc etc. I believe he even said in an interview that he didn't even try for the epilogue. Don't blame him. Author of Bleach also had his series ruined.

I wish kishimoto left naruto and started on a new series. It'd be for the better. Most people were okay with naruto ending

Haven't read them but I mostly heard bad feedback from Kishimoto other mangas (mostly one shots and a short lived series), so he might as well continue his only good series.

Also Jump has a history of not letting their big series authors go, just look at Togashi (who does what, 1 chapter per year ?) and Kurumada who throws in a new a Saint-Seya spin-off every time he is out of money for blow or something.
