TFA was much better. More memorable characters, better acting. Felicity Jones was flat... Virtually all of her line delivery was the same.

R1 had no memorable new characters, besides the droid, which I can't even remember the name of. I did not remember the names of any of the new characters nor did I really care when they died. We just didn't get enough about them to care about them.
Still a fun movie though, and the Vader scenes were amazing. Definitely redeemed Vader after the whole "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Donnie Yen's character was pretty cool. They didn't really do enough to explain who he was though.

Dat Darth Vader though. Totally redeemed him for going out like a chump in Episode III.

I thought it was pretty good with the third arc having some of the best action of the entire franchise and some cool nods and unexpected and welcomed cameos. But I didn't find the new characters all that interesting espically compare to the new cast of The Force Awakens. Though I will probably see again espically for that Vader scene and to see feel comfortable saying I like the force awakens more.

Terrible CGI for the characters. Tarkin and Leia looked like they belong in Polar Express, not Star Wars. Also Darth Vader's lines were comical. "Be careful that you don't choke on your own ambitions." Lame. Bacta scene was awesome though.

Tarkin was very off, I agree, but I thought Leia looked amazing.

Vader is supposed to be a smart arse, he can say what he wants, there's no-one left to oppose him.

I thought Tarkin was off in his first scene but was fine for the rest of the film.

Well, yeah, that was good. I think that TFA is better developing characters, but the highs in this films tops the highs in TFA. Basically what Soundwave said in the previous post. Those are exactly my thoughts. It could do with a more character-based first half like TFA. I'll watch it a second time, no doubt about it. These films are way superior than any of the prequels, so I'll say, thanks to bring that SW feeling again, Disney. Obviously they do it for the money, but movies are quality again.

Aussie Vader gave this movie a thumbs up, so it must be Good!

I really liked fact that the movie didn't have many forced jokes or funny moments (to be honest it was the darkest Star Wars movie in my opinion).
Although Chirrut Îmwe qoute "Are you kidding me? I'm blind!" when they were putting a bag on his face was absolutely amazing.

I was waiting for this thread!

Yes, Rogue one is a good movie unlike the pile of excrements that episode 7 was. Go see it! It won't ask you to take leaps of faith or just run with unexplained backgrounds or ridiculous science fiction (magical time traveling bending beams split and go!). Everything makes sense enough and is plausable. It is by far a much better and satisfying movie.

If Episide 7 was half of this instead of a shameless copy filled with lots of ilogical and unexplained events, i would be looking forward to episode 8. God i'm wishing they remake the original trilogy instead now. Screw the new trilogy. It's already been soiled tbh.

Oh and K2-S0 > all other character Disney came up with.

"It's true that this movie is diffrent from other SW movies especially when there is no force users"
The blind monk? Darth Vader?

Anyways I liked this movie, its a solid 9/10 from me. Vader was pretty great in the few scenes he was in.
There was a tiny camio with C3PO & R2D2. Overall it was like the last puzzle peice slideing into place, it filled out the stroy and did so well.

That K2-S05 unit... lmao that fellow as great.
