Forums - Nintendo Discussion - [Rumor]Breath of Wild cancelled on WiiU

Maybe, I just don`t see the amount of 1st party software support for a console as any kind of significant factor in purchasing decisions for the majority of people. Sure those on gaming forums may discuss it and consider that when buying a new console, but I don`t expect when your regular consumer wants to buy a games console they take into account how well supported that company`s previous consoles were and if they cancelled any games for them.

Maybe not for the "majority" of people, but it isn't those Majority that's buying Nintendo Systems. It's Nintendo Fans, that do keep up to date when it comes to Nintendo games, and certainly buy the systems for the 1st party software.

Honestly they should do this, it would force any Wii U owners to pretty much upgrade to the Switch.

Well as I said in my first post, they are the ones mostly likely to buy a Switch early on, so it wouldn`t affect those ones anyways, and they are also the most likely to forgive Nintendo for it as well.

True, they've already forgiven them for the WiiU and are now hyping the Switch as the second coming. xD

I think they cancelled the physical release in Japan.

That seems more likely actually, cancelled in Japan rather than Globally.

This is most likely fake.If it were cancelled, Nintendo wouldnt have shown the Wii U version on VGA.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

If this is truth, I want Nintendo to publicly admit they dropped the ball on WiiU hardware. I don't think they have admitted this yet, have they? I remember that Iwatta ask where they pretty much proudly listed all the WiiU shortcomings, but had never admitted them as such. Their confidence almost had me fooled, but thanks gaf for their chip pics.

It's worse then not admitting it, sure this may be a joke but this is the WiiU Item Fortune they added to Animal Crossing New Leaf recently.

Like... wow.

The WiiU software is indeed great from an artistic perspective. Is the technical and bussiness side that fails.
