Forums - Gaming Discussion - For Honor Is Always Online, Even For Single-Player

Ubisoft said:

“Ubisoft can confirm that For Honor is an always online experience. Some elements of progression, which is hosted online, are shared across story and multiplayer modes. Players will need to be connected to the internet at all times to play For Honor.”

What about Western AAA games don't you like per se?

As for this news, I really can't fathom why these systems need to be in place.  It seems shady at this point.

ah was very excited, but i'll pass for now I guess. I have a VERY stable internet connection, but idon't think it's fair for everyone else if i support these type of policies so i'll ignore this one.

Yeah its a real shame latley with a lot of western devolopers. Its funny how a lot of people have bought The Devision and it got good reception overall by gamers and the media. The same people teared Microsoft down for implementing the same policies of always online, yet it is somehow okay for a single game and maybe an entire Publisher now?

Supposedly single player campagne feels like a "after thought" too.

^ this.  If they care this little about the single player experiance of their games, or are so worried about piracy, just drop it.

Full multiplayer only online game... fine, its atleast honest. Just price it accordingly.

Poorly made single player as a "after thought" where you need a online connection to play it? f*** that.
