Forums - Sony Discussion - Why do we still not have EA Access on PS4?

I think you will find companies aren't that petty, and the ones that are, are just screwing over their fanbase by giving them less options.

Oh trust me gaming companies can be very petty.  EA regularly screwed over their massive Playstation fanbase by doing deals with MS.  and when ps4 went onto dominate those deals screwed themselves.  Karma.

So Sony screws their PlayStation owners to get back at EA?  That's awesome.

I only play maybe 1-2 EA games every 2-3 years. So I personally have no interest in EA Access.

Then once every so often pay a $3 for a month.

In that one month, play all the EA games that are in the vault. By months end, move on. There you got your fix of EA games for like $3.

Again, an OPTION.

ea access is more value then psplus if you don't want to play multiplayer, because obviously that needs plus anyway, but ea access on my pc is great, lots of games you can play, stuff being added, discounts and early access.

Really a nice feature, when I get scorpio I will get ea access on that instead of my pc, for the extra games that are not on pc (x360 and NHL and stuff) unless they also come to pc.

Anyway, I hope sony allows it, they are deciding people don't want it, but people do use it on pc and xbox, so why shouldn't the option be available is beyond me.

Thats interesting.

EA access no longer collides with PS Plus. The vast majority buy PS Plus for online because the PS Plus game offering sucks compared to the PS3 days. Plus the uptake on PS Plus significantly increased when it was required to play online.
Sony was talking bullshit when it said EA Access wasn't value for customers to protect PS Plus. They should review the situation because EA Assess will not effect PS Plus subs anymore.

How does it compete with PSN plus? You have to have PLUS to do basic things like playing online. Most people get PLUS to play online, not for the free games. If that wasn't the case, PLUS would've been wildly popular during the PS3 era, but it wasn't.

Obviously SONY doesn't want EA services for business reasons, I just don't think that reason is competing with PLUS.

Sure... Lets all preted Sony has some obligation to open the doors to services that they deem not benificial for their own ecosystem just because some whiners online, who probably don't even have a playstation (or not their main console) determine they are owed something.

If you guys want an open (kind of) platform, just get a gaming pc.

Personally I say fuck ea access and their practice, especially artificially keeping early access on games for a monthly fee when the game should be released at the same time to everyone buying it day 1.

Keep it up Sony

It's threads like these that show the loyal blind fanbase defending everything their favorite company does. Thanks for the laughs and mental gymnastics.

Omg I'm dying, lol at these comments.

I can't wait until it's on PS and see the reactions.

"Thank you Sony!"

"#4theplayers!!"

etc etc

Reading the Internet regarding this topic, why would Sony change their stance? They could tell people water doesn't provide a good value and we'd read thunderous applause. Its even more laughable than the Bethesda mods shit was with all the apologists online.

But the loyal fanbase! It broke their heart that ea went in bed with ms last gen, how do they even dare to side with the console that dominated the western market last gen. Only bad companies do so and Sony of course is aware of that, they know everything.
